Fun facts from the 2024 election. Most seats had more people abstain than the winning party had votes and more abstain than the votes against the winning party combined. Followed by votes against the winning party outweighing votes for the winner. Leaving only 18 seats that had more votes for the winning party than either against them or abstained. Of course this drops to ZERO representation when you consider abstaining a vote against. The party system doesn’t work! We’re advocating for a new one. DTFUK.org

@aliciakearns The whip exemplifies how anti democratic party politics is. We won't see an actual democracy until all parties disband. DTFUK.org

Labour’s decision to whip MPs to vote against the Privilege’s Committee, is wrong.

@dshensmith As I've been saying. The whip exemplifies how party politics is fundamentally at odds with democracy. We need an entirely new system, without parties, if we are to ever have democracy. DTFUK.org

I just voted for the motion for Keir Starmer to go to the Privileges Committee over the Mandelson issue. Whipping MPs to block this was wrong and reinforces so much of what people hate about Westminster.

@ReformedMedia_ @RupertLowe10 Not entirely pointless. They may not have changed the result but it would have shown some integrity. The fact that Starmer can crack a whip and have his minions defend him shows how anti Democratic Party politics is. DTFUK.org

@mickjones1 @ArchRose90 I for one hope you're right. Independents and maybe members of very small parties are the only MP's that come close to representing their constituents. The whip is anti democratic. Parties are anti democratic. DTFUK.org

335 MPs who voted against referring Keir Starmer to the Privileges Committee. A list of shame. Not an ounce of integrity between them. An advertising blitz will now hit the constituency of every Labour hypocrite on this list. They’ve increased their annihilation on May 7th!

#notrecorded" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">votes.parliament.uk/votes/commons/… If you're wondering how on earth Starmer still has a job. Party politics and the whip in action. The fact that a fair few didn't vote or turn up at all shows they either don't care about you or have a little faith in the system as you do.

Why does the whip even exist? Because the ideology must come first. Disagree and be expelled. The simple existence of the whip proves that party politics and ideology are incompatible with democracy. DTFUK.org are fighting for a new system, free from ideological dogma. *website may be undergoing updates.

So they’re basically admitting to losing the younger vote and statistically the older votes lean to the right. This is why there is no Labour leadership contest. They all know that despite having Starmer destroying their reputation they at least have control for now. A leadership contest could result in a snap election which they would almost certainly lose. Might as well keep their pay checks coming while they can.

Labour MPs are urging Keir Starmer to shelve plans to lower the voting age to 16 at general elections amid fears that the Green Party will benefit from it. Hang on, so votes at 16 is about “fairness” and “empowering” young people but only if it benefits Labour? I’m shocked. 🙃

“Government puts party interests ahead of public” Yes, always. That’s how ideologies operate. They argue that their interests ARE the publics interests. Essentially ignoring any public consensus because they believe they know better than we do. Regardless of whether they are right or not it means ideological party politics is incompatible with democracy. DTFUK.org * have rewritten our system to cut out cancerous parties that were all fed up with and put power back into public votes. *website may be undergoing some updates.

@ArchRose90 Currently a referendum is the only way our system can find a consensus. The last government to have a genuine majority of votes was in 1935 but even then it’s impossible to determine which policies are mandated and which are not. closer.ac.uk/data/share-vot…

It wasn’t that long ago that some people eagerly wanted the House of Lords to block Brexit, even though Brexit had a mandate from the British public. Now those same people are appalled that the House of Lords didn’t pass the flawed Assisted Dying Bill, which has no mandate.

The whole “unite the right” BS many Tories push is a deliberate psyop. Politics is no longer about right vs left. It’s establishment vs anti-establishment. The establishment must be smashed.

Rishi Sunak warned us exactly what would happen. People laughed it off, and voted for Labour. Now his prediction looks spot on. Call it what it is, he was right.

I'm not doubting that there is corruption. And you are correct that the disconnect already exists, I just imagine it would be worse in a two party system. You are also right about not having time to change the system before the next GE, my suggestions are a long term solution to the bigger problem. Many agree that Labour are doing a terrible job. Many believe the Conservatives were no better. I believe they each have their strengths and weaknesses but the system is a winner takes all competition. So whichever party win, however much they get right, the little they get wrong will increase in severity until we bring in the other lot to fix it. Then the cycle repeats. Beyond the next election, we'll still be using the same broken system, repeating the same mistakes that got us here in the first place. I'm not arguing that parties shouldn't create coalitions or people shouldn't vote tactically. Not trying to convince anyone to vote any particular way. Just trying to highlight the long term futility/insanity of repeating the same processes and expecting a different result.

I agree about Farage's ego. But let's say the right did all band together. It would be reasonable then for the left to do the same in response. This would essentially create a 2 party system. While a 2 party system practically guarantees that the winning party gets at least 50% of the votes, it also restricts choice. I believe it would likely create more of a disconnect between the political class and the public. No doubt these political cabals would breed corruption too. So more parties split votes and reduce representation. Less parties means less choice and creates a political class that would likely not represent you. So what does that leave us with? The only option left is no parties. That's where our movement for Decentralisation comes in. The structure we use to form government clearly doesn't work very well so we're suggesting a new one without parties. It may seem far fetched because the current system has been around for centuries. It's what people know and are familiar with. But perhaps it's time we moved on. For your consideration. DTFUK.org

The more drastic the time the more drastic the measures. This is why the left have gone further left and the right further right. The tribes are forming and the ideological war is well underway. Unless we get some stability or improvement soon then that war may well become more physical. The system that got us here is the same system that we’re now relying on to get us out of this mess. This is lunacy! We need a new system of forming government. DTFUK.org have one.

A Restore Britain Government would create such a hostile environment that many of the illegals and freeloaders deport themselves. If you’re living here illegally, life must be made intolerably challenging. No benefits, no housing, no care. The hostile environment.
