On a train to Connecticut and everyone near me is scrolling reels or TikTok on their phone. It really is the easiest place to reach people. (I am scrolling X instead)

tried to investigate sideshift the same way I did content rewards. wasn't expecting this. usually when I start pulling on these platforms something falls apart within ten minutes. fake numbers, hidden fees, a team page that doesn't exist. sideshift actually checks out. here's what I found digging through it: -1,500+ brands sourcing creators through one dashboard, real names like Replit and Brex attached publicly -700K+ creators already applying to briefs instead of brands cold DMing and getting ghosted -5B+ views across campaigns in the last 90 days, and that number is verifiable through their reporting, not just a claim on the homepage -100M+ paid out to creators, automated payouts instead of someone manually venmoing people -every applicant gets screened and scheduled within 24 hours the model is simple. brand posts a brief, creators apply, platform handles tracking and payment. no smoke and mirrors, just a straightforward marketplace doing what agencies charge five figures for. still poking around but so far this is the first one in a while that didn't make me want to write a takedown.
