I wouldn’t say CR is a scam. It’s a legit company, and the best clipping platform we currently have. The bot problem is not exclusive to CR, and even billion dollar ad networks have been and still are facing this issue. You should not expect CR to completely solve this problem in their first or second year, and I wouldn’t trust any clipping platform that claims it has. Also, most of the issues you mentioned stem from agencies, not CR itself. As you noted, the moderation layer seems to be the failure point, and that is the responsibility of agencies. And from my experience as a clipper, I can tell you that agencies are the true problem here. Most agencies are totally unprofessional. I recently quit working with Virality because of their unprofessionalism and unfair treatment. We experienced terrible communication, delayed payouts, and even skipped remuneration for some clippers. The last straw for me was figuring out that their whole team from top to bottom, including those responsible for post approval/rejection, are clippers (internal clippers). This gives them an unfair advantage and power over external clippers, which is totally unprofessional and in unacceptable. And when you bring up these issues to their team, they would either ignore you or label you as a “drama maker.” And you can expect this unprofessionalism and these conflicts of interests to be reflected on the other side of the equation (the advertiser experience). Also Virality is just an example. Most agencies are even worst. So I would say that Content Rewards and clipping are not the issue, but rather the way campaigns are being managed and the teams managing them are the problem.
