Canada doesn’t t have strategic oil reserves because we produce over 5 million barrels a day. Even if for some reason we built a large reserve, we wouldn’t have the pipeline capacity to get it to global markets. We have room for at most 250kbd more right now but they need refineries or tankers to have capacity to accept them.
