Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.

@Jasonthezombie6 @iiTzz_Tyrell I have a good friend who has a masters degree in Mormon studies. This is actually pretty accurate to my understanding. And I’m a less active, believing member. But sometimes I have that cup of coffee due to my work being at really odd hours and it wakes me up the best.

Life long LDS member here: I fell off the wagon about a year ago and enjoyed many cups of coffee. I wanted to get my temple recommend so I stopped drinking coffee to honor the requirements. I still crave it and honestly don't think anything is wrong with it health wise. The pioneers who came settled in Utah enjoyed coffee, tea, & tobacco back in the early days of the church. Apparently they argued because some had coffee, tea or tobacco given them from the bishops storehouse and others did not. For a long time many brethren wanted Brigham Young to make it a requirement to follow the Word of Wisdom in order to be considered worthy to enter a temple. Brigham refused until he died. It was only later that they made it a requirement as it helped quell the requests of members demanding they receive coffee, tea, or tobacco. You may not like the details but I believe this to be more or less accurate with history. Also, do we just dismiss this line of the Word of Wisdom? "...not by commandment or constraint..."

I still don’t know why coffee is a no no but energy drinks are acceptable as a LDS person lmao
