@Phenomm_ @camperry21 its not gonna have another 80% drop off bro. 80% was first friday to 2nd friday drop. its the worst because the first friday number includes wednesday and thrusday preview and 2nd friday does not include any extra day. it will probably drop 60% in 3rd friday

@coveredcolours that's not what's happening. it is dropping hard globally. of course it will get it's 100m but it is no where near enough. bcs box office number is just sum of ticket sales, studio only gets about ½ of that number.

@Pac_Triton @KishanNavadiya4 thats not how boxoffice works. it's just the sum of ticket sales, studio get about ½ of it, the left goes to theaters, distribution, taxes etc. the 125m budget is only for production not including marketing. irl they need 2.5x the budget to make profit. hence bluebeetle is a bomb

@elan_ty @FilmUpdates it coast 170m-186m, it needs 400m or more from box office. BO number is just the sum of ticket sales the studio only get 50% of that, the others will got to theaters and taxes. and the production budget numbers doesnt include gigantic marketing cost that srudio has to pay.

I’m sure the movie will make its money back but this is disheartening considering this is the one Minions movie they actually tried to make truly different and fresh.
It’s definitely the one Pierre Coffin is most proud of, he’s VERY vocal about how he felt about previous films.
