@sabeer What’s so two-faced about this??? Almost every above average family in India has kids studying abroad. Is this really a point to drum up? Just wondering…

@umar_umar1947 @ShivAroor Who said they’re dead? I don’t see the word ‘posthumous’ anywhere. 🤔
English

@ShivAroor Why are they all dead after such a feat?
Especially when not even a window glass was broken in Bharat?
English

@1by2chai @ShivAroor With all due respect: they volunteered to do this job; they aren’t conscripted. Respect them - yes. What gives them the right to dump that burden on the taxpayer??? Think rationally, it has to be a symbiotic relationship of mutual respect. (I’m from a forces family).

Yes, the officer's behavior was unfortunate. But let’s not forget. Soldiers carry more than just bags.
They carry the weight of the nation, our safety, and our freedom every single day, 365 days a year.
The least we can do as a country is ensure they don’t have to argue for a few extra kilos at an airport.
Let there be a rule that extra baggage free for those who carry the heaviest burden of all: the nation’s honour.

@SanjeevNair01 @ShivAroor Have you encountered the ‘badtameez’ side of the officers ever? Yes, it exists and no one talks about that elephant in the room. Some of them exude real disdain while dealing with ‘bloody civilians’They need to be roped in too. Balance is required. They serve; we pay taxes.
English

@ShivAroor There is something amiss in this story. What was said to this Army officer? Many of indigo staff behave like goons and are uncouth which we can see regularly at Delhi airport.
English

@ShivAroor Really it's disturbing to see an army officer beating mercilessly a manager due just asking the excess baggage charge. He should be booked under attempt to murder charges. Must be put into the bar immediately.
English

@deven_sailor @ShivAroor @flyspicejet @IndiGo6E And a yet larger question: was it a life threatening situation? If not, why didn’t the officer resort to violence instead of complying with airline regulations? Chalta hai, or something else? Explore the ‘inconvenient’ options, too.
English

I will choose to ask the larger question, as to what led or prompted or triggered such a reaction from a senior Army Officer. @flyspicejet should initiate immediate training programs to sensitize their ground staff.
Airline staff from @IndiGo6E have previously even slammed elderly flyers to the tarmac.
English

@Lotus2051 @ShivAroor @flyspicejet Arbitrary??? Let’s unpack that a bit: Was it bit arbitrary that this ‘chap’, ‘Johnny’ decided to carry 2 aboard instead of checking in 1? Rules apply to everyone. No…???
English

My support for army officer if he was carrying total 10kg. Arbitrary/rude behaviour esp in carriers like @flyspicejet is very common. Appears he was maltreated/provoked by unprofessional & insensitive behaviour. Private players in regulated sector are more arrogant/corrupt than govt.
English

@braddy_Codie05 @ShivAroor Does that justify assault? An army officer didn’t the basic presence of mind to call cops? Have you considered power abuse?
English

The provocation was first from the SpiceJet ground Crew that led to an Altercation between the said officer and the SpiceJet ground Crew.
Please post the Full CCTV Video and inquire about the Backdrop what led to this Altercation then people will come to know who’s actually at the fault here.
