@YungxJayy And even in active shooter situations, what are the odds they target the actual shooters vs random students? Terrible idea

#MI07 Axios: Behind-the-scenes fury and panic dominate key House primary Moderate Democrats and party leaders' inability to coalesce behind a single candidate has become the source of considerable behind-the-scenes acrimony, Axios has learned. "This has gotten really intense," said a senior House Democrat, who, like others quoted in this piece, spoke on the condition of anonymity to offer candid analysis on the race and the anger surrounding it. axios.com/2026/07/28/mic…

I’m not pollster but this seems flawed for a lot of reasons namely a supposed 20 point shift in independents from voting Dem to Republican based on nominee which would be nearly unheard of. Given this is only 600 people the demographic subgroups are incredibly tiny which is why something like a 22 point drop in Dem support among black voters would be based on asking around 80 voters. There’s also almost zero info about weighting, methodology, or even where the phone list came from.

@CorkYou @keithedwards Lol. I have lived in 3 different states, 4 countries, speak 3 languages and AM an immigrant. You don't get to play that card. I code switch as needed but that's a very different thing to putting on accents to please people. Anyway to each their own.

@keithedwards She sounds the same. I will never understand how anyone brings up someone’s accent during an election cycle. People will change their accents based on who they are speaking to. Nothing scandalous there.

I want to state the obvious: the DSA is not the Democratic Party. In a democracy, every movement has the right to organize, advocate for its beliefs, and run candidates under its own party flag. That’s how our system works. But don’t use the Democratic Party’s infrastructure to win elections only to turn around and destroy the very coalition that made those victories possible. Build your own movement. Make your case to voters. That’s democracy. Punto. #Nomas

Sitting outside a pub in Little Venice in London right now waiting to photograph an event near here this evening. An orthodox Jewish family walked past. A husband, his wife, their toddler and a baby in a pram. An Arab girl in her twenties just walked up to them and made a gun sign with her hand and said die. Then pointed the ‘gun’ at their each child and said die. She stood there threatening and laughing as she wished them dead. I told her to fuck off and she wandered away laughing. I’m angry at myself for not videoing her instead so you can see the depths of the vermin in this country, protected by the mayor, the police and the government. Photo of where I watched it. Truly awful.

Mamdani announces city-run groceries will set prices *30%* below retail. Typical grocery margins are 2%. Meaning: First, the city will lose ungodly amounts of money -- at least 28 cents on the dollar. Second, below-cost stores will steal enough market share that real groceries abandon the city. Third, taxpayers will get tired of the money hole and slash subsidies. At which point city groceries become money holes full of rotting food, so New Yorkers will have to take 2 trains and a bus to find a real grocery store. Socialism will work this time 🙌
