@cricketdistrict @VillageCric @Strollingontour strangest action of the week (but it is only Monday) #RightArmThroughAndOverPleaseUmp

@VocabulousUK I’ve always enjoyed telling pupils about “Dendrochronology”. As Wikipedia says “Dendrochronology derives from the Ancient Greek dendron (δένδρον), meaning "tree", khronos (χρόνος), meaning "time", and -logia (-λογία), "the study of".”

@cricketdistrict How about this nonchalant caught and bowled by Adam Price playing for the Brasenose Strollers against North Devon? @Strollingontour @instowcricket

@HeadFelsted @chrismorgan1980 Which is why touring with @Strollingontour is such a valuable life experience every year!

@chrismorgan1980 Spot on as usual Morgs - trying your hardest to win is great, only playing to win is not. One of the best lessons sport teaches us is that we will sometimes lose and how we respond to that is crucial for our development.

The merits of a schools sporting program shouldn’t be based on the matches or tournaments they win. There are many other factors that contribute to a successful sports program, such as the quality of coaching, the level of participation, and the overall sportsmanship of the team.

@Strollingontour Brasenose Itinerant Fortunetellers Cricket Club it is then!
English

@Strollingontour Are we just itinerant fortunetellers?
Haggard Hawks 🦅📚 Words | Language | Etymology@HaggardHawks
To STROLL originally meant not just to wander, but to wander without any permanent home to return to. In that sense, one theory is that it derives from ‘Strolch’, a German word for a vagabond—which in turn might come from an even earlier word for an itinerant fortuneteller.
