His boxing is very nice tho, and there’s a certain extent to how good it can be while having to worry about so much more then just hands. He’s near as good as it gets boxing wise for mma fighters. Also the point of the UFC and mma at its conception was to see which martial art was superior. It speaks volumes for the art of boxing that Ilia is the best pfp right now

MMA fans refuse to hear this but this guy is absolutely correct. There’s a difference of spending real time in a boxing gym and doing “muay thai” kickboxing classes. It’s becoming more evident in the UFC with guys like Topuria, Yan, and Vallejos and others

You’ve never been in a street fight. Going to the ground means risking your head getting punted in by bystanders. Boxing is the most efficient, get in, get out. Minimal output, stay on your feet.
