@MSVLKnight @histofevery_yt2 There was no where to berth them. America has a lot of locations to preserve these ships, while in the UK those locations already have active docks that needed the space.

@histofevery_yt2 Britain was just very bad at preserving WWII ships - I know they were broke but the Yanks did quite a good job Enterprise notwithstanding.

@PentaDeuce @MachDominus If Guilliman turned traitor Ultramar turns with him. Suddenly the traitors have nigh unlimited manpower and the logistics to keep them in battle. Don't even need to assault Terra, just keep it bottled up while they conquer the rest of the galaxy.

I think you picked well. But the interest here is how this would affect the lore. If the Ultramarines are traitors: 2/3 of all 40K chapters are wiped out. And then there's how this would affect the Horus heresy events. Would the Imperium do better now that Horus' siegemaster is gone? What benefits will Guilliman's acumen bring in contrast to Perturabo's skills? Will the Imperium have to reconquer a "Chaos Ultramar" either during or after the Horus heresy. WILL THE CODEX ASTARTES EVEN EXIST!!??!?! It's making my tism brain go BRRRRRR.

@BCbarnes_ @BiancoDavinci Both ships being in their prime in a straight up gun duel it goes to Victory every time. Victory is a first rate ship of the line while the Constitution is a frigate. Victory has twice her guns. That being said, Constitution could out manoeuvre Victory, conditions willing.

@TBifford The church tower would have been destroyed first precisely because its a great vantage point. Then the infantry sweep the town followed by tanks to clear out the strong points. You certainly wouldn't be throwing open topped tank destroyers into an attack.

June 28, 1814. An American sloop called the Wasp ran into the British warship Reindeer right in Britain's own backyard, just west of Plymouth, and tore her apart in nineteen minutes. It was close, ugly work. The two ships came so near that the gun crews were practically firing into each other's faces, and at one point the British captain, William Manners, already badly wounded, tried to lead a boarding rush onto the Wasp rather than surrender. He was shot through the head leading it. The American captain, Johnston Blakeley, won the fight, took the survivors prisoner, and burned the Reindeer where she floated. Here's the eerie part. The Wasp kept raiding, kept winning, sank another British warship that autumn, and then in October 1814 she sailed off into the Atlantic and was never seen or heard from again. No wreck, no survivors, no message. A whole ship and crew at the peak of their luck just vanished, and to this day nobody knows what happened to them.

@Aeldarellie How is she not dead? She spends a good thirty seconds watching her friend go down, while flying straight and level. That exarch should have scrubbed her and been gone in that space of time.
