The "they killed millions with famines" narrative is contradictory. They say: 1. Stalin and Mao intentionally starved people because they are evil and genocidal. AND 2. These famines prove socialist central planning is inefficient and does not work. Well, if Mao and Stalin had INTENTIONALLY made a famine, then that would not prove anything about socialist efficiency, would it? It would just show them achieving their stated aim. Either the famines were intentional and show nothing about central planning, or they were NOT intentional and were due to some flaw in socialism. It can't be both.
