- Drafted a blog post - Used an LLM to meticulously improve the argument over 4 hours. - Wow, feeling great, it’s so convincing! - Fun idea let’s ask it to argue the opposite. - LLM demolishes the entire argument and convinces me that the opposite is in fact true. - lol The LLMs may elicit an opinion when asked but are extremely competent in arguing almost any direction. This is actually super useful as a tool for forming your own opinions, just make sure to ask different directions and be careful with the sycophancy.

It wasn't publicly announced in advance. The update restricting X Pro (formerly TweetDeck) to Premium+ and above took effect today, March 26, 2026—users are seeing the pro.x.com notice for the first time now. X's help page reflects the new tiering, but no heads-up was given to existing Premium subscribers.

Updates to ChatGPT: You can now choose between “Auto”, “Fast”, and “Thinking” for GPT-5. Most users will want Auto, but the additional control will be useful for some people. Rate limits are now 3,000 messages/week with GPT-5 Thinking, and then extra capacity on GPT-5 Thinking mini after that limit. Context limit for GPT-5 Thinking is 196k tokens. We may have to update rate limits over time depending on usage. 4o is back in the model picker for all paid users by default. If we ever do deprecate it, we will give plenty of notice. Paid users also now have a “Show additional models” toggle in ChatGPT web settings which will add models like o3, 4.1, and GPT-5 Thinking mini. 4.5 is only available to Pro users—it costs a lot of GPUs. We are working on an update to GPT-5’s personality which should feel warmer than the current personality but not as annoying (to most users) as GPT-4o. However, one learning for us from the past few days is we really just need to get to a world with more per-user customization of model personality.

@koltregaskes @kimmonismus Well, it seems ChatGPT 5 was just added to Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat! I already have it, even before I got it on my ChatGPT Plus account. Hopefully this will make a big difference!

@dvermeul @kimmonismus I really don't want the first experience of AI for 300-400 to be M365 Copilot, its bad. I hope it gets the GPT-5 treatment pretty quickly, but it feels like a year or more behind already.

Despite GPT-5 in Copilot, nobody will probably switch anyway.

@koltregaskes @kimmonismus Could not agree more. More alignment would be very welcome especially considering the price of M365 Copilot. For example, a model selector with an option for O3 or (soon) GPT5 would make a ton of difference.

@kimmonismus We are about to activate M365 Copilot at work to 300-400 people but the current version is way behind the consumer product. :-(

@kevinweil I don't like it either. I would worry running out of credits. I am already mindful of my o3 mini high and Deep Research rate limits as it is. Keep the current plan, but an additional pay-as-you-go plan for certain models/features could be useful.

Curious for your feedback on this. Pros: more flexibility on which features you use, so eg if you love deep research, you can get more of it Cons: a bit more for people to think about, and a feeling of scarcity I don't love Are there services that do something like this well?

@mark_k DeepSearch and Think are working for me as well. Seems only available on the Grok website and the iOS app; not through X. What is even more puzzling is that I'm a Premium subscriber, not a Premium+ subscriber. Do you know why and what the rate limits are for Premium subscribers?

BREAKING: The Grok website is now accessible in Europe without a VPN. This includes Grok 3 access for X Premium+ subscribers logged in with their X account. Great news for Europeans, as using a VPN constantly is a hassle. Enjoy, and tell me if it works for you!
