SNP apologist Stephen Gethins peddles the tired SNP lie that 50% of the Scottish electorate want independence. On Thursday, only 34% voted for Nationalist parties. If a referendum happened tomorrow, they’d be lucky to get 40%. Did the SNP learn anything from Thursday?

It is utterly shameful that the SNP are using the Gaza conflict as a voting tool, in effect trying to shame voters into voting for them under the pretence that having more SNP representatives will bring about a ceasefire. It does not matter whether the SNP get 15, 30 or 45 seats, in respect of Gaza, as it will ultimately have no bearing on the war whatsoever. Rather than solely campaign on what they have done for Scotland (!), or even independence, they are now trying to dilute it down to whether voters think war is good or bad. They didn’t even condemn the initial attack on Israel, or even mention it, until they could factor in Israel’s response. How messed up is that? The reality is that any war, especially one where civilians and children are being killed, is an awful thing. Yet the SNP are trying to weaponise the conflict for their own needs. That is despicable.

@AgentP22 The Hate Crime law epitomises the transformation in Scotland's culture under @theSNP. We had a culture of dignity, where the truth and personal responsibility mattered. Now we are living in a victim culture. Everyone has an oppressor. Everyone is a victim or one sort or another.

The only "good" thing about this appalling Hate Crime law is that it will 100% be the hill that Humza dies on. It will produce endless, daily negative headlines for him and he will constantly be on the backfoot trying to defend it. Like Sturgeon with the gender law, he is arrogantly ploughing on and thinks the rest of us will just shut up and do as he says. It's not happening. Of course the Kelly Givens, Iona Fyfes, Nikita Bassis and Olaf Standos and all the other SNP sycophants will blindly defend it, but it will cost the SNP votes and support big time.
