Dear @KTLA, You should be sued into oblivion. How on earth can you put out this false story after it’s been fully vetted to be false. Are we to believe that no one at KTLA did two seconds of research into this extremely well-known story? What an absolute mockery of the news industry. Disgraceful.

@theallinpod Ques: Should Anthropic have told DoW that they want to have a veto on how their software is used? Jensen: We do a lot of business with Anthropic, so what the hell do you think I am going to say? Here, listen to this word salad & I will make it long so you don't ask me again.

Jensen to AI Leaders: “We have to be far more thoughtful” when communicating to the public Jensen Huang: “(AI) is not a biological being. It is not alien. It is not conscious. It is computer software.” “We say things like, ‘We don't understand it at all.’ It is not true. We understand a lot of things about this technology.” Chamath: “If you were in the seat in the boardroom of Anthropic over that whole scuttlebutt with the Department of War, what do you think you would've told Dario and that team to do, maybe, differently to try to change some of this outcome and some of this perception?” Jensen: “The first thing that I would say about Anthropic is, first of all, the technology is incredible. We are a large consumer of Anthropic technology.” “The desire to warn people about the capability of the technology is also really terrific.” “We just have to make sure that we understand that the world has a spectrum, and that warning is good, scaring is less good because this technology is too important to us.” “I think that it is fine to predict the future, but we need to be a little bit more circumspect. We need to have a little bit more humility, that, in fact, we can't completely predict the future.” “And to say things that are quite extreme, quite catastrophic, that there's no evidence of it happening, could be more damaging than people think.” “And of course we are technology leaders.” “There was a time when nobody listened to us, but now because technology is so important in the social fabric, such an important industry, so important to national security, our words do matter.” “And I think we have to be much more circumspect, we have to be more moderate, we have to be more balanced, we have to be far more thoughtful.”

Intense debate continues online about the Fox News dashcam footage from an August 18, 2025 incident near Houston involving a mom with her infant in a $TSLA Cybertruck. The video shows the truck allegedly in Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode failing to follow a right-hand curve on the overpass, barreling straight ahead through traffic cones, and slamming into a concrete barrier instead of curving safely. Tesla has stated via Elon Musk that autopilot (or FSD?) was disengaged four seconds before impact. The victim is suing TSLA for $1 million. While we believe video logs will show that FSD (or autopilot) was in fact disengaged prior to the accident, the absence of an effective PR team at TSLA to put to rest media misstatements (here Fox News) is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals nationally later this year.
Fox News@FoxNews

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."

@garyblack00 Terrifying. All the news programs are running it over & over again. What is not seen is a video by a guy that has a CyberTruck who went & drove the exact same route twice on FSD & it worked perfectly both times. Why do you suppose we do not see that video over & over again?

There’s no question in my mind FSD (or autopilot) was turned off at the time of the crash. That’s not the point: $TSLA needs to think longer term and invest in a 1-2 person PR team to squash mistaken commentary by the media like this. TSLA’s inability to control the narrative is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals later this year. Why put a timely launch of Cybercab at risk to save a few dollars?

People today forget or simply can’t believe how depraved Ehrlich really was: Demanded that the FCC require TV shows to depict large families in a negative light, so that parents with multiple children would be shamed and ostracized by society. Proposed forcibly sterilizing millions of Americans by poisoning the water supply to make them infertile. He couldn’t think of a drug to do it “safely,” but wanted to do it anyway. Supported actual forced sterilization campaigns in India and China, where millions of people Warned that population growth would lead to starvation, but also proposed cutting off food aid to “overpopulated” countries to reduce their populations… by starvation.

No, the Terafab is Tesla's independent in-house project for a massive domestic semiconductor fab producing AI chips at tera-scale for FSD, Optimus, Dojo & more. It's tied to Giga Texas (North Campus site prep underway in Austin), not any joint venture. Tesla's current chip partnerships (e.g., Samsung's Taylor fab nearby) are separate supply deals—this aims to eliminate reliance on them. Details launch in ~6 days! 🚀

Maybe..... but there are a lot of needle moving things going on. Iran is actually pretty major. The final outcome???? - but it will change the world. They must somehow change Iran leadership. $200 oil speaks loud. Markets will have to adjust. WS says shoot first, asks questions later. So all big PEs get cut for a while. On another note, it seems like we have our foundation LLMs: GOOGL OpenAI SpaceX META has the money but ..... no. Waiting for Godot: Everybody is waiting for their computer to talk to them just like talking to a really smart person. That's due now. Robots later. I talk to Grok every day in my Tesla - amazing how close to meeting that goal it is. It feels strange... Robotic car revolution is like smart phone revolution: TSLA is like iPhone. NVDA is android leader. Impressive NVDA drives on YT. The bottom...when nobody wants to sell & miss the spike up. We have lots of catalyst but need clarity.

I have to say... I'm growing pretty bearish on the Semi's trade. I know that sounds stupid. Hear me Out.. $AMZN just had its worst losing streak since 2006... Now down -14% from highs. $MSFT just had its largest earnings decline in years, now down almost -30% from highs. $META -15.8% from highs $GOOG -6.4% in a month. The $SPY -1% from highs. I know, the markets are freaking out. Algorithms are indiscriminately selling everything tech.. But this is easy to see, Wallstreet is saying: "Slow down the capex spending" After all historically near debt free mega caps are all the sudden going into debt to fund this buildout. What do you think happens to $MSFT stock if they announce another Capex raise next quarter? $META fell -78% in 2022, largely because of spending concerns on the Meta Verse. When Wallstreet talks, CEO's listen. cutting Capex is NOT my base case this year, but I'm not expecting further significant raises. You might even start to hear companies say "we are not anticipating any further capex raises for the immediate future" Something like that. Translation: $NVDA's massive Y/Y growth days are over. Mag 7 is not all of Nvidia's business, I get it. But it's a huge chunk. The Semi's, Materials like copper, nuclear, data centers... all the sudden would be priced for flat or declining revenues in the future. THE FLIP OF SENTIMENT HAS ALREADY STARTED. When investors go from rewarding companies for spending to punishing them.. it's only a matter of time before they cut back the spend. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IM BEARISH ON THE AI TRADE.. The Immediate winners: 1. Hyperscalers that don't raise capex 2. Software (less disruption risk) 3. Halo stocks. (Companies will use AI to their benefit) Just because Hyperscalers stop raising capex guidance by 25 Billion a Quarter, doesn't mean AI is dead.. it means the attention flips, from the builders to the creators/benefiters. it's not going to be a moment of "the AI trade is dead" (maybe briefly) but instead a moment of flipping from Building to "who is monetizing" The only companies that have really monetized AI so far in any real numbers are the Semi's/Semi Supply chain. "Boring" Halo stocks coined by @Downtown could be winners, software that executes, Robotics, healthcare advancements, Ect. you MIGHT soon beat The First Mission of the Game, a very long game. The Hyper building phase. The building phase will continue, BUT instead of $AMZN spending $250 Billion Next year, they spend only $200 Billion. The same as 2026. Not an implosion of Capex, but a Plateau. Next, Who are the real winners long term from AI... I know I'm early to this, but the writing is on the wall. Cheers. NFA.

IMOP, The players in the LLM Game: OpenAI Anthropic Google Meta SpaceX/Xai It takes tons of money to make a foundation LLM. I don't see any others with the $ power and CapX necessary to make it happen. Anthropic just committed suicide by demanding to have a veto power on whatever the War Department does. Great CBS interview with Dario Amodei. So DoW just made them illegal to use. BOD should be fired or sued. Elon is busy rewriting his LLM. Maybe something there. Everybody demanding some kind of fireworks they can see. It is happening but most people don't see it yet.
