🗺️ One thing that sets $JOBY far apart is our history. The incredible foresight and depth of work that went in from our founder @joeben and our early team in the very earliest days of our industry is unparalleled. They were defining this new form of transport from the ground up. We don’t usually share much about those early days, but @drmusician1 dug this 15 year old clip up (from somewhere!) and shared it and it’s absolutely worth a minute of your time.

The electric motors all tilt - the propellers are attached directly to the rotor of the motor - no gearboxes. If you are curious, the motor is the silver band between the black propeller spinner and the white fairing. It’s fully battery-electric, so there are no traditional engines.

@Masan111514 オスプレイはエンジンごと稼動するのでそれがネックとなっていろいろ問題が起きたんですが、映像見た感じだと米陸軍に採用されたV-280 Valorと同じように前向きのローター２本はエンジン固定で回転ローターだけ稼働するようになってますね、安全性が飛躍的に向上してます。
