@curling_robots I feel like there were a few articles done around the Serena Williams footfault/hindrance incidents at the US Open? The footfault one for me is a very similar situation where they happen somewhat frequently in tennis but rarely are (or were, before electronic calling) called.

@Chris_A_Fisher There is no resale for French Open, only the official resale on the website once people who have been chosen in the draw have gotten their tickets. Some tickets also open once that draw is completed. Or you have hyper expensive packages with access to fancy restaurants.

@LePatrioteQueb @hassinhadi L'article du WSJ qui est cité dans le tweet utilise les pronoms féminins. Si c'est une simple erreur de l'auteur du tweet, ça arrive. Si c'est un choix conscient de son auteur, c'est un choix politisé qui ne fait qu'attiser la transphobie.

@earthstroke Well part of her argument about the current system is that a player can have a deep result or two at a big tournament — and that’ll prop them up in the rankings if they didn’t do much else for the rest of their season or haven’t beaten a highly ranked opponent in a while.

@RobKoenigTennis @tennisabstract It is also a very unique year where the vast majority of points is concentrated in 2 players, which meant that the range of points between 3 and 22 is very small right now. Maybe can help someone "sneak" up the rankings with such a low RPW with a single big win like Toronto.

@2024dion You are forgetting something: most investors in public companies are also strongly linked to real estate. By getting lower rent/occupancy in the downtown building they invested in, they lose money and their ability to invest in companies. Ive been in rooms where it was discussed
