@alnoarchive @FuzyouH23115 @jonsac It was an ongoing threat to life... The Police had to take action to end the rampage. They can't let him carry on stabbing people and then let justice take it's course in court later. They had to PREVENT the stabbing, cuff and disable him to prevent him detonating his bomb.

@FuzyouH23115 @jonsac Because despite the crime decent conduct and professionalism is still needed. Anyone who says otherwise might aswell argue to get rid of the right to a fair trial.

@Kernow_NickC @MrJamesMay And it makes no difference that the bomb vest was fake. The Police had no way of being sure of that...That is why terrorists wear these things. To deter and delay our unarmed Police from tackling them. These Police did what they had to do to end the rampage despite that risk.

@Kernow_NickC @MrJamesMay They weren't "metting out justice". They were attempting to disarm a man holding a knife who had just attempted to murder ppl and who advanced on themselves with a knife. He was also wearing a bomb vest. They need to disarm him on order to secure him so he couldn't detonate it.

I’m sure we have all now seen the footage of Metropolitan rozzers kicking a suspected terrorist in the head, repeatedly, when he was down. We can all play a part in putting an end to this sort of police brutality. Mainly by not going around stabbing people.

@MadelaineLucyH Yesterday there was a guy where I live in the North East driving his car around the residential area "preaching" via loudspeaker. Just circling around the streets. Drove past me twice in about 5 minutes. Sounded a bit like a British version of the 70s cult leader, Jim Jones.

Things I LOVE about MY (British) culture that ARE being threatened; - Religion as PRIVATE and not anyone’s business. We aren’t Americans. No megachurches, no ChRisT is KInG, no loud preaching and big crucifixes everywhere. In my culture, you quietly worship, whatever your faith is, and mind your own business. It’s gauche and taboo to shout about it. - Boasting and performative cruelty as tacky. In the old days, you were trashy and uncouth if you loudly shouted about how rich and big and strong you were or nastily attacked other people or groups. We used to be famous for manners, that’s unfortunately been yankified. - Being PROUD of variation and novelty in our communities. I loved that I could go to a yoga class at a Quaker meeting place, chat with my Muslim friends about their plans for Eid, grab edamame for lunch and listen to live English folk music at the Bulgarian-owned village pub. I don’t want to eat bread and dripping and go to a sad cold church where we all believe the same thing, fuck off.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

@himari_tsuki Happy anniversary, Hima. I can't watch the streams lately but it's not because I don't want to or that I no longer care for the project. Always wishing you well!

@ling_bing73 @WUTangKids Not EMP. It fires high frequency radio waves which block the operator's signal causing the drone to either crash or go into a safety mode that make it auto land.

@LukeEdwardsTele Imm concerned we start next season as we have performed for most of this season because at no point has it seemed like the manager has been getting closer to solving whatever the problem is. Im not Howe out but how long is reasonable to wait before concluding a change is needed?

Eddie Howe remains the best manager for Newcastle United and deserves the chance to rebuild the squad in the summer with a proper support structure in place. If he leaves in the summer, I believe the club will regret it. Probably swiftly and for a long time. This is my opinion. I have covered the club for 23 years. I watch them pretty much every week and nothing that happens between now and the end of May will change my mind. It’s fine to disagree. I’ve seen a few comments about where I’m from recently and the fact I’m not a fan. Like that prevents me from having an opinion on a club it is my job to cover and has been for more than two decades. This is my professional opinion as a football journalist. Lots of you will disagree with it. But I also know many of you agree with me because I speak to people all the time and don’t spend my entire day on here. Opinions vary, that’s absolutely fine #nufc
