For these reasons, your goal, and mine, should be to separate state and society as much as possible - from religion, education, money, banking, security, healthcare (major victim of govt interference), and even lawmaking. And subject it to the same laws that you must live by.

For decades they have arm waved about it to stop the vicious cycle of govt policies where the cause of the crisis invariably becomes its solution, so that both the crises and govt get bigger and bigger, until you and your children become but cannon fodder.

Trump reminds me of Jack in the book, Lord of the Flies, which has been taken off school shelves in politically correct backwaters like Canada and the US. It was core reading growing up. Similar to how many undeveloped tribal societies exist today even with adults.
