A short working day at Prestongrange today. One team concentrated on getting the Ruston 88DS "Put Put" ticking over after months of work. Myself an Mick cleared another 100yds of ivy away from the track.

@GC_Rail can I ask why you allow your passengers to play music without using headphones... why is it acceptable for people to play music, games etc with no regard to others on the train.... and your staff ignore this.... I don't pay to travel in 1st class to have this disturbance

After a lunch in said mess coach, the gang cracked on with dismantling the track a panel at a time, stowing components neatly on the line at the edge of the site. 4 panels later, we called it a day and cleared gear back to Bedale, leaving the site ready for scraping tomorrow.”
