Day 2 of #AGU2022 and I have temporarily solved the food desert issue by attending the Geodesy Section Committee breakfast meeting. Perhaps the lack of dining options is a genius plan to "encourage" participation in AGU governance, i.e. "will do committee work for food"?

To be clear, I have nothing to do with this election nor had I seen the results or even voted.

Election results for leadership roles in a national society results in mostly women and somewhat diverse panel. Queue senior male colleague in my office complaining that this is "not diversity".

@KristineLVe We replaced our old Subaru with an electric car a year and a half ago. I couldn’t bring myself to buy a tesla which I’m feeling very ok about.

Picked up pizza in North Berkeley yesterday, 3 out of the 4 cars on the block were Teslas.

I think the bigger barrier was that the phone version of the website didn't display this server is not accepting applications messages and just kept re-routing to a general find a server page with very few options.
