National Guard troops will stay in Washington DC through the end of 2026. Their continued deployment will cost taxpayers over $1 MILLION a day. If that weren’t enough, Trump wants another HALF A TRILLION for the bloated Pentagon. But somehow there's no money for healthcare.

Note for reagional naming among locals, "The DMV area" is not the same as "the DelMarVa area". DMV is DC, Maryland and Virginia and is the area around Washington DC. DelMarVa is the peninsula on the eastern shore of Chesapeak Bay.

As Congress considers ways to extend ACA tax credits, I am in agreement with Senator @ChrisVanHollen that our healthcare system is breaking under the weight of devastating cuts to Medicaid and Medicare.  Families are losing access to health coverage and rural health providers are at risk of closing or cutting essential services. Health care is an essential human dignity and right, and in Maryland “we leave no one behind.” That’s why I signed on to the Medicare for All Act, to work to solve our country’s health care crisis.   @MedicareGov #Medicare4ALL
