I took Ivermectin for some months and did not note dramatic benefit, nattokinase did seem to help though. Meantime, Ivermectin is very expensive in the UK if bought for human consumption.

@WendyPuerto @YardleyShooting I don't know.... If I were in such a situation.. i'd take it and see. Apparently it works for a lot of ailments.

@SmallholdersUK During WWII my grandparents got a goat so that they could drink the milk and save the rationed cows milk for the children. It was a good “guard goat” too, important as they lived in Kent and were mindful of invasion and shot down enemy pilots! Were goats common in England then?

I have kept goats for 36 of my 57 years. A large gap in the middle. Keeping them and making dairy products is one the things that defines me. It ties me too. So I feel different to most of my peers who are constantly travelling, and their talk is of their next trip.

@farmingandJesus You have clearly never met a #FinnishSpitz Known as “the Finnish barking bird dog” I believe the national record is 120 barks/min ! Used in Finland for hunting capercaillie.

Never. I repeat….NEVER get a Great Pyrenees if you value peace and quiet. Leaf falls, they bark, lady bug lands on a flower, they bark….. snowflake falls… they bark. They save our goats from lions and bears so there is that

At the Braemar Gathering, His Majesty has stepped out for the first time in the new King Charles III tartan… 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The green, blue and red tartan has been designed in recognition of The King’s strong support in preserving the tradition of Highland Dress and Scottish Tartans.

Look through the property section of @Countrylifemag and see beautiful old houses built in local, natural materials and what are we building now? Ticky tacky boxes, built of man made shite, that won’t last 50years and are UGLY as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #RAAC #embarrassingbritain 🥺

@The_East_End @SarahMiller1979 As I recall the rag and bone man would take pretty much anything, there was nothing wasted. Dead horses still go to the knackers. They used to be used for glue and the hair for stuffing chair cushions. Not sure what they do with them these days, fertiliser maybe? #SteptoeandSon

@SarahMiller1979 Theoretically - although I am sure the odd dead pet ended up with them - larger animals like horses that had outlived their usefulness would have been taken to the knackers yard… (sorry Sarah, but that’s history for you!)

The Rag and Bone man would collect rags to form ‘shoddy’ - the unpicked wool from old garments that was then reformed and mixed with some new wool to form rough and ready garments, often of very poor quality - hence the more modern use of the word… #eastend #history

Faberge Egg In 1901, a magnificent Easter egg decorated with precious stones and enamel was created. Nicholas II gave this egg to his mother, Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, in honor of Easter. When we open the egg, we find an amazing surprise - a miniature golden replica of the palace in Gatchina. The miniature palace in Gatchina is made with incredible care. Despite its height of only 3 cm, you can clearly see windows, cannons, trees and flags. The outside of the egg is decorated with masterfully executed gold enamel, silver, gilding, diamonds, rock crystal and pearls.

@DerylLynn @DookistAgain Tip for those getting puppies. Get some carpet off cuts and tape them firmly round chair legs. By the time they manage to remove them the teething phase has passed! 😊

I always enjoy visiting the Fell ponies at @gowbarrow farm where they practise regenerative agriculture. The fell is increasing in biodiversity each year - it’s wonderful to see the species thriving in the presence of these beautiful ponies @FarmWilder @wildercarolineG

@burgess_ag That is mett, raw minced pork normally eaten with raw chopped onion. My son’s absolute favourite thing when competing out in Germany. His teammates will go and get some specially for him. Must be freshly slaughtered that morning. @KMSCallaghan #TeamWathlingen
