@JordanSchachtel There's an assortment of youtube channels that have invested in cameras & gear and provide great visuals for a bunch of different launches while the rockets are still visible from the ground.

NASA needs to borrow from SpaceX in the visuals department. The grainy photos and videos we are seeing are not exactly cutting edge. Want to inspire the nation? Show them Space at its most breathtaking.

@EpicSwitzer @Traverse_Tavern I think last year they had a bunch of things go wrong with the lots of 32-player pods all being separate. Running two big events vs a bunch of smaller events maybe sets it up for success better

@Traverse_Tavern The use of pod here is confusing. These are 512 player pods. There's 16 pods of 64, 6 rounds, the one undefeated player from each pod goes to main event. Is that right?

I typically try and look at things from RBs point of view and how decisions come to be made. But for LCQ’s -increased price -take away extra prizing -make it harder to qualify -less people qualify I just can’t wrap my head around it.

@CurleyCards That crew has done a great job casting the Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan DLCs. In addition I appreciated the tape marks added to playmat that marked the edges of what was visible on stream. That seemed to help the players and Lore Guides keep all the action on screen

Note that the incident in question occurred pre-Bruen. I believe Maryland did have a nonresident permit process at the time, but only certain people were eligible for it, and it was a may-issue standard.

Maryland has filed its brief in opposition to Eva Gardner's cert petition. To recap for those who have not been following, at the time of the incident central to the case, Eva Gardner was a Virginia resident with a Virginia carry permit. While driving through Maryland, she had to defend herself during an alleged roadside incident. She didn't shoot, but did brandish her gun to dissuade the alleged assailant. Maryland arrested her, charging her only with illegal carry because she lacked a Maryland permit. They did not claim what she did was otherwise illegal. She appealed all the way up to the Supreme Court without counsel. Usually, such petitions are doomed. But the Supreme Court requested a response from Maryland. That means at least one Justice wants to hear what the State has to say for itself. SAF filed an amicus brief in Ms. Gardner's support, as did several US Senators, a coalition of State AGs, and others. We also helped her get counsel for her upcoming reply brief, the excellent Pete Patterson of Cooper & Kirk. SAF's brief focused on the extensive history of "traveler's exception" laws, which exempted visitors from other places from local concealed carry laws. We also talked about how expensive and time-consuming it is to try to get nonresident permits from multiple states. Finally, we rebutted any claim of danger, presenting data that shows that those with carry permits rarely commit crime (regardless of which state issued the permit). Cert remains a longshot. It's nice a response was requested, but it's still a very uphill climb. But if there is an appetite to address the issue of reciprocity, Ms. Gardner's case presents extremely sympathetic facts to do so with. Today, Maryland has filed its opposition. China just landed a reusable rocket vertically on Feb 11. Meanwhile, Congress wants to keep pouring $4.2 billion per launch into NASA’s single-use SLS. We are in a modern day Space Race with China, and it’s time to let private industry win it for us.

@LorcanaVillain Like many things post-rotation, we still have it, it's just more clunky or a combo now. Distract and 3-cost Sisu can do it for 5 ink. Or Headless Horseman & other combos. Just nothing as clean & efficient these days.
