By striking down IEEPA tariffs, and with the US Administration reinstating a 10% global rate,existing bilateral reciprocal agreements now lock in higher tariffs (e.g. 19% on certain goods). Under GATT,such agreements are meant to lower trade barriers, but instead they raise them.

Untuk menghasilkan $1 juta dolar (Rp16.5 miliar) nilai tambah di sektor sawit, diperlukan sekitar 600 hektar tanah. Untuk menghasilkan nilai yang sama di sektor manufaktur, hanya diperlukan sekitar 1.6 hektar tanah. Dan kita lebih milih nebang pohon dibanding bangun pabrik.

Maaf Prof @saiful_mujani, yg dilakukan Mendagri itu sudah sesuai yang diatur UU. Ini namanya pemberhentian sementara, yang memang kewenangannya untuk Bupati/Walikota ada di Mendagri. Sanksi Pemberhentian Sementara di atur di Pasal 77 ayat (2) UU 23/2014 Tentang Pemda. Untuk kasus Bupati tsb dijatuhkan sanksi karena melakukan perjalanan ke luar negeri tanpa izin Menteri sebagaimana diatur di pasal 76 ayat (1) huruf i. Umrah itu termasuk yg berhak diberikan izin sebagaimana diatur di pasal 25 ayat (1) Permendagri 59/2019, namun tidak diberikan saat daerah mengalami bencana, sebagaimana diatur pasal 26 ayat (2). 🙏

Okay, here we go - the world's most expensive school lunch program: Indonesia!!! As a share of GDP, it's 1.5% of GDP or 79% of the entire education budget. Btw, it's the second largest in USDbn. What percentage of GDP is spent on school lunch? Ball park is 0.2% to 0.4%!!! Even France is only 0.4%!!! So 1.5% of GDP is A LOT OF MONEY.
