I saw an old friend in a video with Wike yesterday. I was surprised and wasn’t surprised. We started out hustling as fresh graduates from a small rented shop in Agege. Mine was a photocopying business, his was a budding electrical tech work and installations.
My candid advice to young graduates of Archy, QS, civil, or electrical engineering: register a full-portfolio construction company immediately after university. Gain construction experience by working for individuals looking for cheap/direct labour, then move into subcontracting with mid-level construction firms to understand the requirements for govt projects.
When you have all the paper requirements, start bidding for govt contracts; you wont win and you will know why in the future, but go after the winner and beg for subcontracts, even at a base rate. Build trust, build versatility. If you build a name before looking for connection, the connection will start looking for you. In ten years, by the time the big boyz start passing to you projects that's too small for them or projects they dont have time for, you will never forget me, and would never regret taking this advice.

Learn to be alone. Eat alone. Sleep alone. Vibe alone. Heal alone. Become so rooted in yourself that you don’t need opinions, validation, or approval to feel okay. Because when you’re comfortable in your own company, you stop settling for people who disturb your peace. And if you ever doubt yourself, remember who you used to be and how far you’ve already come.

Big Sallah is 27th May.
Which means the money to buy ram and other expenses has to come out of this salary that they just paid. Which has already finished.
So if you know you want to eat ram next month, just squeeze something into your Muslim friends hands today.
Shebi you too you’re seeing the economy?

solo dates hacks every man should try, at least once every year
1. take yourself to the cinema alone. buy popcorn. pick a seat you actually want. laugh, cry if you need to. no one talking to you. just you and the movie.
2. go to a cafe on a weekday. order a drink and a small pastry. sir by the window and face your phone down for a bit. watch people going to work, students rushing, cars passing, birds singing, children playing, just life moving in that pace.
3. book a nice but affordable hotel in your city. pack a small overnight bag like you're traveling. order room service or buy food on the way. take a long cold shower, wear your robe, lie on the bed and do nothing if you want. journal, watch a movie, listen to a relaxing music, sleep in clean white sheets and covers with the ac on.
4. take yourself on a saturday breakfast. wake up early, shower, wear something cute. go somewhere that serves breakfast. sit there, and order something nice. enjoy your meal, take some selfies even if you not photogenic.
5. enjoy yourself man. come on, you deserve it. you need it.

People are cold. They really are, and the sooner you accept that, the better you will treat yourself.
Most people are not thinking about you. The warmth you remember from them was mostly situational, it lasted as long as you were useful, available, or entertaining.
People leave without explanation. People watch you struggle and say nothing. Stop being shocked by it. Not everyone deserves your openness, your energy, or your time.
The cold world does not reward the naive. It rewards those who see it clearly and move accordingly.

We must #OccupyMTN. The exploitation of Nigerians by telecom operators can no longer be tolerated. While @MTNNG stands out for its dominant market share, it is not alone; @AirtelNigeria, @GloWorld, and @9mobile are also implicated in practices that shortchange subscribers. Nigerians deserve fair value, reliable service, and accountability from every operator, including the loafers @NgComCommission and @bosuntijani, Nigeria's Minister of Communications.
