@slopp_cannon @ChShersh Companies can do the same amount of work with less people, or even more work.
Now, also, it’s cheaper and easier to start a company or build a product, that creates a lot of new work and positions too.

@ChShersh Are you sure? Then why do software engineers get fired even if they have passed the interview?

@cursor_ai I have an annual Pro subscription that was supposed to renew today for $192 USD, but it’s trying to charge $230.40 instead.
The payment didn’t go through, and I can’t renew while the amount is incorrect.
Any idea why this is happening?

If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*
Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.
GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

@antirez OpenAI and Anthropic are not generating enough revenue to justify their AI spending.
Maybe Apple hasn’t fully figured out the ROI yet, especially with all the AI hype, which could explain why they’re happy to partner with Google and use external AI similar to Safari’s search.

Explain me one thing: how a sane human being that saw Claude Code / Codex / ... at work for a few months can have *any* doubt about the ability of those systems to work as a personal assistant, given enough access to your stuff? It requires a lot less capabilities than the other main task. We will see soon such systems integrated as apps to in our phones, will be the first big shift since the iPhone in the way mobile works.

Estoy genuinamente sorprendido.

@amitiitbhu Focus on learning concepts and about the business space you are trying to be part of.
The real problem was always understanding the business.
English

@eleliayub Companies will need fewer people to move faster and do more.
But many more people will be able to build software and start companies.
Fewer jobs per company, more companies total.
The edge: understanding concepts and the business, not just tools.
