The idea that Google (alphabet) will be worth about half of China's entire nominal GDP today in about 4 years, going by current trajectory, betrays the extent of the tech bubble that has formed. The eventual market correction will be unlike anything anyone can fully appreciate.

Pretty much all of the prominent voices who supported the Iran War assured us it would be over by now. None of them will admit they were wrong. Even less will they admit that their initial assurances were based on nothing but their own wishcasting. This whole shitshow has been an enormous waste of time and resources and our country has not benefited from it at all. Its advocates have moved the goal posts repeatedly and have even to this day refused to clearly articulate what constitutes a victory and how we’ll know that it’s been achieved.

Konate had a poor season, quite unlike him. Could be an inflection point of a downward trajectory, or could be just nothing. And he's not cheap. Chelsea could negotiate a performance based contract that protects all parties.

Konaté would surely want to be a Top 5 earner at Chelsea, but he’s on a free so his annual cost wouldn’t be awful. Is he finished after his down season at just 27? I doubt it. He’d still be an upgrade at RCB for us. Will we get him? Not holding my breath…
