there's a reason we give away so much sauce on youtube. for the first couple years of hungry horse, we were terrified of giving away anything we'd built. we'd spent years building out strategies, coaching our players, watching them go from losing at $5/5 to crushing at $100/200. and the idea of just...putting all of that sauce on youtube for free? it felt insane. so we played it safe. put out generic content. the kind of stuff that doesn't offend anyone and makes exactly 0 people better. our players continued to crush, but our business floundered. it finally came to me one night in the shower, mid shampooing my hair. you know what's scarier than giving away your best stuff for free? putting out something so mediocre no one ever watches anything you do again. so we stopped holding back. we put out the actual strategies and thought process we'd spent years building. more people watched, our channel took off, and more people signed up for coaching than ever before. we learned that people don't pay for information. you can find the answer to almost any poker question on youtube for free. because information doesn’t move the needle. implementation does. having a coach in your ear every day helping you build your thought process, under pressure, in real time. that's what actually makes players better. and you can't get that on youtube.
