Call it a millennial crisis if you want. But in my 30's, I realized l don't actually want the life I worked so hard for. I don't care about titles. I don't care about climbing anyone else's ladder. I care about time. I care about slow mornings. I care about peace. I care about bare feet at the beach with nowhere to be. I still want to make money.. just not at the cost of my life.

Death anniversary of Mohan Gokhale (29th Apr 1999) He was only 45 years old when he expired. A lot of us will remember his role in Mr. Yogi , where he played the lead role of Yogesh Patel, an NRI from the United States who comes to India to get married and in the process meets 12 girls from 12 sun signs. He also acted in Bharat Ek Khoj in various roles He died in his sleep of a heart attack in Chennai on 29 April 1999. He was working on Kamal Haasan's Hey Ram at the time. Pic from Google image

@swapnakpanda Are the civil services, a remnant of the British era, a major cause of indian inefficiencies? Maybe just removing this could help solve socio economic challenges? Especially in the age of AI, who needs a high IQ IAS to execute processes.

@Smart_Dummi There are plenty of super fit 9to9 office guys. Such ppl go to gym close to office and then go home, saving even on the 3 hr of commute time by escaping peak traffic time.

@abhymurarka Amongst all the skills of an llm, the best thing it is capable of is coding. Infact in building new solutions, you can ask it to write code while run time. It's a wild wild world.

I have a feeling that there are vested interests (global AI lobby) that is over-exaggerating the disruption potential of AI. I was looking for the reason for today's 5% fall in Nifty IT index (a fall of this magnitude needs a fresh newsflow). Possibly it is this - Anthropic says Claude can understand COBOL. If this was true and executable, Mphasis would have fallen 10-20% (COBOL modernisation is a big part of my stock thesis on Mphasis), but it is down <4% vs Nifty IT being down ~5%. I have made my point in below four images, please apply own discretion.
