Michael Thom, an associate professor of public policy at the University of Southern California, told the Post-Gazette that, generally, film tax credit programs offer “no employment impact” and are “a large drain” from a state’s budget “that will have to be made up with spending cuts, tax increases or both.”
“The only thing [film tax credits] seem to bolster are studio profits and lobbyists’ careers,’” Thom told the P-G. “We live in the ‘follow-the-science’ era. Pennsylvania policymakers should, too!”

Any "savings" from dismantling the U.S. Department of Education won’t go to Nevada students, families, or educators—they will go straight into Elon Musk’s pocket and tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations. Students will suffer—especially those with disabilities—and Nevada taxpayers will be caught holding the bag. So today, I brought together parents of kids with disabilities, educators, and advocates to sound the alarm on the President's Executive Order to dismantle the DOE. We should be investing in our future, not in Elon Musk’s tax breaks. This executive order will go to the courts and it’s up to all of us to pressure the Republicans controlling Congress to help us protect our kids.

Being a researcher for vouchers is like being a doctor for cancer - it's senseless. I had a chance to respond to the Governor's state of the state address yesterday. Small comfort now, but vouchers went 0-3 on state ballots.
100’s of thousands of Trump voters voted against school vouchers.
In KY, Trump won 65-35 but vouchers *lost* by the same margin—losing all 120 counties.
In the reddest wave in decades, voters still rejected vouchers.
