@OlexGameDev @jakerattlesnk @Rach4Patriarchy @paleochristcon @TheOmniLiberal It comes closest to grounding morality I’ve seen outside of religion. Some religion provides an unchanging standard, tough to beat. The problem I see left with objectivity is the interpretation of the second part of the grounding; The human requirement to flourish.
English

@eeslayin @jakerattlesnk @Rach4Patriarchy @paleochristcon @TheOmniLiberal Objectivism is awesome. It's the biggest enemy of religion. Wonderful to see them collide.
English

As a fan of rational discourse, it’s criminal that this isn’t getting more attention. Regardless of who you root for, it’s a fun listen. The people need another conversation from these two. @jakerattlesnk @Rach4Patriarchy @paleochristcon @TheOmniLiberal youtu.be/DhpfsOSNakY?si…

@eeslayin @IceManIsaac I hate to say it, but you won’t get the full cellular benefits of fasting if you’re consuming broth, or any other calories. You’ll never fully enter autophagy/ketosis, or stimulate stem cell generation that way.

@CallofDutyCM @tdamerealest Love that you are targeting third party devices. That’s great.
English

New seasons bring new cheating attempts. Season 01 saw about a 2–3% spike, Season 02 climbed higher with Ranked, and Season 03 saw another uptick.
One cheater is one too many, but Season 03 match infection rates are holding around 1–2%, with the vast majority of bans coming from our systems, not social. Our work targeting third-party input devices and disabling remote play is making a real impact.
We’re always adapting, and we're going after cheat vendors directly to stop bad actors from getting into your matches. For the ones who do make it through, keep flagging and we'll keep banning. Every bit helps.

@KerryYourWeight @Metaaphor Personally I would consider loudness eq a standard setting on a pc, much like a headset that comes with a mixamp. I think Arts tune breaks a threshold where the mechanism of action and the in game advantage can’t be logically differentiated from a program that enhances aim assist
English

Right that’s what I’m saying but to your point of external software, EQ can be built into the hardware or can be external software both do the same thing and adjusting it to hear footsteps better is a huge advantage. But buying a nice headset and turning on loudness eq that’s built into the PC but technically external software is a giant advantage right there..so what’s actually cheating
English

why does nobody talk about how this has ruined the game for years?

4 months. 2 custom plugins. 66 parameters. the most advanced audio tune i've ever made. rebuilt the entire BO7 audio chain from scratch. free on github, or one click with the app. fuck it, here's 12 minutes of the new tune. judge for yourself. full video + links below.
English

@KerryYourWeight @Metaaphor I’m specifically referring to programs external to the game that enhance audio or aim assist outside of standard equipment or game settings. Enhanced aim assist = in game advantage, enhanced audio = in game advantage. Why is one cheating and the other not cheating? Logically why?
English

@eeslayin @Metaaphor All I’m saying is everybody experience audio different depending on their setup.some people have a massive advantage just from step 3 or 4. There will always be someone with a better audio advantage when should we actually call it cheating
English

@KerryYourWeight @Metaaphor I understand u have good intentions like me. A good thought experiment to understand my position is to answer my question.
English

I’m not trying to argue. Just want to know when is it cheating
1. Buying the best headset money can buy
2.Buying the best headset with a DAC to get 7.1 surround sound
3.Buying the best headset with a DAC and adjusting EQ settings
4.buying the best headset with a DAC adjusting EQ, and turning on Loudness EQ
5. Installing Art Tune
Where do you draw the line what is cheating?
English

@KerryYourWeight @Metaaphor Read the post again. Specifically referencing external programs for enhanced sound and enhanced aim assist. Tell me again why one gets a pass and the other doesn’t.
English

@eeslayin @Metaaphor lol ok so a guy with a nicer headset is cheating compared to a guy with a bad headset..that’s your logic..because the guy with better audio can hear footsteps better.. “he is cheating”..having the nicest audio settings is not cheating
English

@PolishMoon @RavenSoftware @CallofDutyCM Great summary. The RNG will ensure I never touch this game. I wouldn’t be surprised if many other people feel this way.
English

One more other thing... Cradle Breach audio and visibility is terrible. You have completely different visibility when ADS vs not, and the audio (which is quite bad on the map to begin with) pretty much completely masks any sort of details one would expect to hear in an FPS. Kudos where kudos are due though... grapple hook audio (in general, not necessarily Cradle Breach) has been pretty clear so you know when someone is headed towards you.

An update on my thoughts on Black Ops Royale after having played more - especially eight hours of solos today.
Some high-level thoughts before diving into specifics. I want to see Call of Duty thrive. In order for Call of Duty to thrive, lots of players need to play the game. I don't see the average gamer being interested in this mode. This experience with grapple hooks and other complexities compared to the standard mode are extremely unfriendly to the average player. It's nice that they don't have to level guns to participate, but perhaps guns should be unlocked for Warzone Standard BR so that casuals can make whatever loadout they please with the limited time they have to play the game. I think a lot of people are very fatigued with Call of Duty and the cycle that Activision puts players through every year.
Black Ops Royale:
- Thank you for releasing solos even if it's not perfectly tuned! Launching with only quads was insanely limiting for many players.
- With all the tools required to at least survive (two leveled-up guns, minimum Level 1 Armor, and ideally some lethals/tacticals), it takes a while to loot up. This doesn't even account for trauma kits or an armor satchel. And if you find a Safecracker USB, you feel obligated to go find a safe. So I feel like I'm playing a PvE looting simulator with minor PvP for the first, at least, half of the game. I don't even think this is something that can be fixed. It's just the way this game mode works. I play Call of Duty to use the cool guns that the developers designed, not run around looting.
- Not only does it take a long time to loot up, it's also highly RNG whether you run into someone with better armor or a Trauma Kit. Well over half of my deaths today I just said to myself "GG you found better loot than me" and moved onto the next game without something to learn/improve upon.
- Armor being in the game creates inconsistent TTK and introduces more RNG. Would be ideal if everyone just had some level of purple armor (maybe somewhere between purple and orange I'm not sure). If armor remains in the game, the armor mitigation values need to be nerfed. Mythic + Trauma Kit is insane. Mythic should, if anything, be easter egg level rare and at most one per game. I have run into enemies that just get RNG Mythic in first circle... great experience to die to that. From what I understand, there were also other ways that high-level armor was balanced in original Blackout (loud footsteps, slower movement) - seems like this attention to detail was missed.
- Trauma Kits shouldn't be in the game... If Trauma Kits remain in the game, Trauma Kit health should be lost before plates take damage. There's also zero way to tell someone has a Trauma Kit until it's too late... Several times I died because I was winning a fight against someone with better armor than me only to find they have an extra 100hp. There's no time to disengage at that point in the fight, and you lose purely due to RNG loot gap and lack of information.
- Gun attachments need to be better. Some of the archetypes are useless or just not anywhere near what an everyday player would put on the gun (e.g., anything more than 1x on a sub, not having an optic on several SMGs that have horrible iron sights (Burner Ryden), Millimeter Scanner on an AR, etc.). Shotguns and pistols on the ground are just a complete waste given they're not viable and take up spots that could be an AR/SMG. The amount of ground loot that isn't viable just creates for more RNG because you actually need to find good ground loot to succeed. Unlike Standard BR where you can just prioritize looting for Loadout, you NEED to find viable weapons pretty much right away and then find ten Attachment Kits because someone else does.
- You should be able to stow several Attachment Kits. It feels awful when you go several rooms without finding a viable gun (or finding a gun at all) when you run past multiple upgrade kits and just have to hope someone else doesn't get to them first (more RNG).
- My thoughts remain of, at minimum, being able to choose a custom optic and reticle for certain types of weapons. The BO7 optics and reticles are already bad enough. Please let us pick our preference of the available options.
- Cradle Breach shouldn't be in the game. It's just pure RNG if it spawns on your side of the map. It provides high risk/reward, but it's just another level of RNG.
- If Cradle Breach remains in the game, it's imperative that the Mangler isn't nerfed too hard for solos. It's currently over-tuned for quads, but it should still take some amount of time in solos for proper risk/reward.
- Player count is low. There are matches where you run into a decent chunk of people, but there are also huge chunks of time where you don't see enemies. Part of this is likely tied to solos tuning, but we've also always had the same amount of players across all game modes.
- Grapple hooks almost completely negate a player having a power position. I say this as someone using it to my advantage. Not sure if this is fine or bad but figured I'd comment on it. There are times where it makes certain fights feel extremely unnatural, but some of that is just needing to learn that there's basically no gap between you and your enemy that can't be covered instantaneously.
- Fix MnK wingsuit...
The part that feels good to me about this mode is that people don't have infinite knowledge from Recon contracts or UAVs. The end games can be rewarding and actually play like a traditional battle royale.
Unfortunately at one point in my stream today I accidentally referred to the game as Endgame... so that speaks louder than anything.
Part of what I think has made Warzone so successful is that it blends features of a battle royale with the ability for players to make custom guns like multiplayer. It's rewarding to build a gun that you enjoy using and that feels good and personal to you.
Looking forward to trying Standard BR Solos on Avalon. Not looking forward to map rotation where I'm essentially forced to wait 10-15 minutes to ensure I get the map I want to play. We have played Verdansk for half of the history of Warzone... People only have so much time to play the game. When the game is on map rotation, it feels like I'm playing the game on Activision's schedule instead of my own.
I'm sure I have some other thoughts, but this is what comes to mind for now. Hope y'all have an awesome weekend.

@ItsHapa @hyte_cc @TheHotepNinja The solos community is smaller than you think, and obsessed with the mode. Most of the top people know, follow, and interact with eachother. As a member of the community, I can attest that we all run into him ALOT in normal matchmaking. He doesn’t get special lobbies. Get a grip
English

@hyte_cc @TheHotepNinja I'd say mainly because he plays in lobbies that are only possible w/ streamer mode plus, yet gets triggered when people point out how cringe it is that he puts himself out there as the best of the best... whilst playing against the worst of the worst🤷♂️
