@BleedBNetwork Just a question as I didn’t see it live and it’s easy to armchair coach because it’s happening fast, but why not foul?

By rule, Herb Sendek couldn’t call time out. So argument #1 is dead. The clock didn’t delay in starting. Argument #2 dead. The haters have simply outed themselves to be non ball knowing haters.

Is this where we get to hear we should’ve marketed our next 3 years of beans in 2 or 3 days for the next few years?

What has happened to H.S. basketball? In the 4 IHSA state championship games, teams averaged only 47.6 ppg. My high school basketball team (Oswego 1975-76) averaged 82.3 ppg and scored over 100 5x. In 1971-72 Thornridge (33-0), featuring Quinn Buckner, averaged over 90 ppg.

@NYKCattle @gwiesefarms Yes I’d agree 💯 I know a few that have this situation and it’s saving the grain farm at then moment

@efarmsfive @gwiesefarms That's fair. Part of the issue is that the margins were so small that to even have a viable "side gig" you needed 200+ cows or 500+ feeders. At current margins 100 cows would be a great cash flow boost and a way to add value to poor grain, poor crops, etc.

Diversification of income within the operation can be your saving grace. There are synergies and huge market advantages to having both crop and livestock. Why do people shy away from this financial superpower so much?

@NYKCattle @gwiesefarms I’m just sour on labor intensity. I’ve done it. Nothing to a 600 head backgrounder. My son grew up while I was constantly feeding or working on infrastructure/equipment. We sold it and now I get to play golf on weekends with him. Wasn’t worth it to me looking back

@NYKCattle @gwiesefarms I was assuming guy already farming I guess. There’s a small with purchasing said cattle also. $$$. And finding grass but that’s another story altogether. None of it great either way for a grass roots operation

@KellyGarrett75 @gwiesefarms As a former lender we depreciated equip 10% every year, and cut value by 50% when doing collateral analysis. Not saying it’s right, just what we did. 🤷‍♂️

@gwiesefarms My lender depreciates our equipment 10% every year. Even the equipment we just traded for and haven’t used yet. And you post about something that happened 4 years ago in a time of historic inflation? I typically enjoy your content but this seems odd

@SugdenSteve @5PriscillaKing Jesus.. the immigrants do the worst farm labor possible. Not anything new. Heavy hands on field work. Rough living their entire lives. But we’re going to blame the life expectancy on 2nd hand glyphosate handling??? Come on man….

That's the guys' social media way. I've been researching this for >10 years. For the latest figures on farm workers' life expectancy, online sources agree: the immigrants who usually handle #pesticides have an average life expectancy of 49 years.
Steven Sugden@SugdenSteve

@Citrowske_L @5PriscillaKing No sources just spout off nonsense and see what sticks. That’s the social media way.

@deaflibertarian Have you priced roundup? It would cost $90k to spray all of the wheat around my tiny community (4k acres). For what, burn down for a faster dry time? Nobody is that stupid. And nobody is blowing that kind of money on it.
