@rizzy_guy @TheYorubaTimes And it is clear as day that the section of the country where this problem stem from are not ready to curb the root of the problem. Now the insecurity has spread to yoruba land. If yoruba want to stop the madness in their own land; we all should be happy.

@efemolene @TheYorubaTimes After all the condemnation, has it stopped these erroneous acts? All I’m saying is, these level of insecurity bewildering us in this country is a well coordinated terror scheme which the whole nation must come together with the government to solve and not make it a regional thing

@rizzy_guy @TheYorubaTimes So if yoruba pple are killing themselves; are yorubas far and near not condemning it and finding lasting solution to the problem. But we must not talk when external force is up against us because yoruba are also killing themselves. Look in the mirror and come back to your senses.

When I said Tinubu deserves political punishment for his "liberal Yoruba" policies in Lagos. Some thought I was overreaching. In what clime does it make sense to vote against a Joe Onuakalusi, who is Igbo and then vote for a Lawrence Iyere, from Edo. What happened to the Aworis in Lagos? Ani, Tinubu deserves political punishment seh. And he wouldn't listen until he sees, his own political future is at risk. As I said. Tinubu interest is not Yoruba interest.

We are praying for you to succeed and we will back it up with visible actions. Cheers 🥂 Please can someone help drop the ADC link for membership de-registration? Too much talk na lie.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Ronu soldiers, stop coming to my page to tell me what should be my business or what should not….. It is totally out of line. Hausa emancipation is a strong aspect of Yoruba nationalism to me…. The Hausa challenge is also the Yoruba challenge. In the fight against the tsunami of extremism about to engulf the land, nothing is more important than Hausa emancipation. If you do not share that view with me or have a problem with it, unfriend me and stay in your lane with like minds to do what you know how to do best. I don’t surrender to any mob. nationalism did not start or end with Obidient movement with me . There are much more bigger issues when it comes to Yoruba self preservation. If you don’t share this view, don’t preach to me on what you think nationalism should be. Just move on with your like minds and remain in your lane.

I feel for OYHA Speaker. Understandably he’s chosen to swear allegiance to his Governor. Problem is, Governor’s political future is unclear as is. His only play is ADC, but to what end? Will he be Atiku’s running mate? Does he stay back in Oyo and consolidate on his “structure”? Does he even have a structure? So the Speaker is in a dicey position: he hasn’t built anything for himself and must now depend on Makinde for his ambition. However, it’s never a good thing for one’s fate to depend on somebody. Which is why I think Debo will be better suited stooping to conquer. Return to the House and build his own structure. He’s still young. God keep us. A run for Governor at 44 in a stronger position is not a bad thing.

Man of Letters.
Man of Letters.@Letter_to_Jack·
The airport is not even in Abeokuta, it’s in Iperu. Your audience must be pretty stupid across generations for you to come up with this weak AI attempt without fear that they’ll call you out. If a state is as bad as you say, would you need to use AI prompts to generate images that are not real? The people I really pity here are your audience. Their lives are really a waste. How can you do this to them? Do you know how much hate must harbor against a state for you to use AI to generate images to make the state look really bad in order to sponsor propaganda against OUR achievement in Ogun State? Is this the good governance you spawns of Satan preach about? All of you have been exposed, you have never wanted anything to get better, you just hide under good governance to peddle your hate against Ogun State. Let me tell you, it is you who will eventually perish. And this disdain for progress in Ogun State will drive you to your very end. There are dozens of idiots in the comments who believed this at first glance, I hope their parents have backup plans because these ones cannot carry on their family name. It would be too risky for humanity. Btw, if you call yourself an Ogun State indigenous and you’re laughing at this deceptively generated AI nonsense, you are a useful idiot. Enjoy your emoji and the engagement.

Aare kurunmi kakanfo@AKakanfo·
That’s not true. We have certain folks who want anything called Oyo to be erased from history. They do not have the monopoly of violence to do it but they will rather deploy history revisionism to achieve it. Or is it not audacity or mental health issues to look the descendants of an Ibadan Balogun in the face and say we are not Oyo people or Ibadan is a different Yoruba group and be trying to tell me my history. Secondly, the ethnogenesis of Oyo and Oyo city states is different from totally and radically from Eastern Yoruba axis, therefore it is wrong to use the same brush to paint the same scenario. Oyo was a geopolitical identity forged in war and the empire. The dialect, custom and even religious cult. You can have Nupe ancestry and still be Oyo or Baruba ancestry and still be Oyo. Saying that Ibadan or Ogbomosho or Ede are Oyo people do not suit the agenda of certain people who are hellbent in spreading hate against anything Oyo because they hate the Alaafin stool. We don’t care and anybody can curse the Alaafin as they wish. And anybody can even rewrite their own history. But where it must be stopped is where they bring their madness to Ibadan, Ede or other Oyo city states. If they must hate or plan their strategy of erasure of the Oyo people as they boast, they must do it completely. You cannot be cursing the Oyo people and be praising Ibadan because Ibadan crushed Ilorin in 1840. No, that divide and conquer is well read. Face us all and call us all sorts of names, we don’t care about that. We are Ibadan and we are Oyos. No apologies to anybody who is unhappy about that. I made a mistake of ignoring this aspect of history while hate merchants spread half truths and blatant revisionism against the Oyo bloc of the Yoruba people. While I hate the supremacist rhetoric of certain people within the Oyo bloc, we won’t also allow hate against the rest of us under the excuses of fighting Oyo supremacists by hate peddlers masquerading as historians.
Olúwadámiláre ⛓️‍💥⚔️@doluwadamilare1

@AKakanfo This problem is not limited to Ibadan alone; this misconception lives among all the Oyo groups, maybe due to our big population and vast landmass, or maybe there's something other subgroups (e.g., Ijesa, Ijebu, Ekiti, etc.) are doing that we failed at.
