@tatertotsconor Was venting to a therapist about how I thought my body was broken because of vaginismus and she said it’s actually the opposite. In my head I perceived penetration as a threat so my body would physically clench up to try to protect me from that. That helped me a lot

Also, just a little public service announcement: if you’re over 17 and inserting a tampon or a finger into your vagina is nearly impossible or causes extreme pain that is NOT normal and you need to be evaluated for a condition called vaginismus. It’s very treatable!
