I think there are two different types of SEO. 1) Use a knowledge of Search to help businesses be found online. 2) Use a knowledge of Search to create content and profit from it. The second of those is potentially dying, although I think new opportunities will open up (AI ads, LLMs that dialogue using your content, etc.). The first is going to be terribly exciting.

SEOs who have access to the SGE, I challenge you today to find potential opportunities and wins for your clients. There are a lot of things to criticize about it. But businesses soon are going to be clamoring for those who know what to do with it, not critics.
