A rhymed Punjabi translation of the Diwan of Hafiz. The Punjabi translation, in itself, is a work of art. Published is Kashmiri Bazar, Lahore.

Indonesian merchants (the actual next-door neighbors, not India or China) actually did show up in Australia but they didn’t have a reason to build colonies. Science in Action by Bruno Latour has an interesting discussion about local knowledge versus organized exploration.

Always hilarious to me that China and India didn't even know this massive continent in their backyard. And then some English dude from the other side of the world just came along and yoinked it.

The coffin was brought to the eastern bank of the Neelum River in Keran village, on the Indian-administered side of Jammu and Kashmir, only to be shown from a distance to part of the family living on the western bank, in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir. 1/2

@avzaagzonunaada 'pubic hair of women', I think zok is used for pubic hair regardless of gender. Also, 'vaal' is a single hair in Kashmiri, and some people say 'mas vaal' to be more specific.

Pakistan's national anthem, Qaumi Taranah, is not in Persian. In fact, there is not a single Persian word in it. This lady reeks of ignorance, and here is why: Qaumi Tarana is composed of 49 words, all of which are present in Farhang-e-Asifiya, a classical Urdu dictionary, and are thus fully incorporated into the Hindustani (Zaban-e Urdu-e Mualla) tongue. But this lady is adamant about finding roots, then why did she stop at Persian? Why do Muslims, in general, stop at Persian/Iran when tracing linguistic roots? This terminological warfare slop should end. 25 words (51%) of the Qaumi Tarana have Arabic roots, why didn't she mention this? Why didn't she credit Arabic? She also said the anthem has only one Urdu word. Well, no, there is a Prakrit-root term. Why did she call that Urdu but not the others? And there are two such words. Then the remaining 22 words are Persian, but even multiples of them themselves have roots in the languages of ancient civilizations such as Akkadian, Assyrian, Hittite, etc.. Why didn't she credit those civilisations? If you are digging for roots, then dig them fully, or do not post such pathetic slops. In extreme academic works, Arabic-root words in Persian have a potential of reaching 85% of total words. Will she call those works Arabic?

Don’t Confuse Knowledge with Know-How when Discussing the Killing of Scientists in Iran’s Nuclear Weapon Program There appears to be a misunderstanding about the difference between knowledge and know-how, as evidenced in some recent media characterizations about the destruction of parts of Iran’s nuclear weaponization program and the killing of its key scientists, some the Oppenheimers of its nuclear weaponization program. Killing knowledge is not possible, but know-how can be eliminated, and that has been an important target of Israel in the wars against Iran. The difference is important. Knowledge is theoretical understanding. Know-how is the practical knowledge, expertise, or tacit ability required to perform a task, create a product, or build a nuclear weapon effectively. In other words, how to do something. It is acquired through experience rather than formal education. It includes non-public techniques and secrets that offer an advantage.   One can read a book on how to build a bridge, but if that person had only such knowledge, would you hire that person to actually build it?   What Israel did was kill know-how about building nuclear weapons. That is hard to replace.

At some point you have to realize that Pahlavism is a phenotype, before it’s an ideology. Such set of observable characteristics, together with environmental conditions, can influence and shape certain attitudes and behaviors. We should go easy on them.

Iran’s stocks of enriched uranium are more than just the 60 percent stocks. Iran also has enriched uranium of up to 5 percent and 20 percent enriched uranium, totaling 9000 kilograms in the chemical form of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) (see table) and another approximately 1000 kilograms of enriched uranium in other chemical forms (not in table) If only 60 percent removed, and Iran can enrich, it can simply enrich other stocks back to 60 percent. Really need to end enrichment program to end Iran building nuclear weapons.

No, 'his logic' is obviously not that you should always support whatever the majority want. If you want to critique him, take his idea seriously. His logic, which I agree with, is that citizens of a nation-state should have some say in whether they want to merge with another nation-state; in other words, a say about the political configurations of their future. They can't want to keep another people under occupation; but they can want to live in their own state so long as it conforms to basic human rights
