Stormont’s health dept has full operational control of funding. WM controls amount given - not where money goes. So yes, dept of health should’ve & could’ve been responsibly allocating funding based on local need.

£3.59 million. That's what the Department of Health in Northern Ireland spent training Physician Associates at Ulster University for jobs that didn't exist. The course has now closed. Someone signed off every one of those annual cheques. Who?

PA students can’t get work here yet for 4 years medical students were paying their own fees out of pocket in a region desperate to attract & retain drs.

Still had conservatives planning to expand use of PAs NHS wide 2023..

I’ve spent my life thinking myself a medical phenomenon because when I scratch my eyebrow I sneeze.
Today I learned we all do to a greater or lesser degree.
The trigeminal nerve (operates facial sensation and motor function) connects the eyebrows and nose.
