I was once a very well-known trans identified female. People celebrated my story, amplified my voice, and treated my identity as courageous - by so long as I said what they wanted to hear. Then I came out as a detransitioner. Suddenly, the same people who preached tolerance decided I was dangerous. They did not merely disagree with me. They tried to discredit me, isolate me, and destroy my livelihood because my lived experience no longer supported their politics. Trying to make someone unemployable because they hold opinions you dislike is not justice, accountability, or activism. It is coercion. A society where people must fear professional ruin for expressing unpopular views is not free. It is intolerance wearing the language of moral righteousness.
