A photo has been posted on social media showing the moment United Airlines flight 169 struck a semi-truck on final approach to Newark Liberty International Airport yesterday. The truck driver has since been released from hospital the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said in a statement. United Airlines said the crew has been removed from duty and maintenance staff are examining the aircraft. "We will conduct a rigorous flight safety investigation," the airline said. @krisvancleave I mean think about that driver. You can hear the plane too. I can’t fathom when you hear a plane that low and then your vehicle explodes in an instant. Just wow!!! Thank goodness the driver is ok.
