I'm stunned the GOP is not running nonstop ads in Atlanta tying the long TSA lines at the airport to Jon Ossoff's refusal to fund Homeland Security.

Good morning from London, Randy. I have archival evidence via Coke’s own mouth that uses jurisdiction excatly as the conventional wisdom uses it. Contrary to Cooper and your NYT op-ed. You worry his view is “too late.” But why aren’t we talking about historical work “done right?”
Randy Barnett@RandyEBarnett

Chuck Cooper is an eminent conservative lawyer and Federalist Society mainstay. Has the intellectual challenge to the contemporary “conventional wisdom” about “birthright citizenship” been mounted too late to prevail at the Supreme Court?

Would you ask a fish how to catch a fish? No. Here’s how you attract a man: 1. Make a loud shriek or laugh. This will signal to his male brain that you are present. 2. Entice him with your fertility by throwing a box of tampons at his head. 3. Wink at him repeatedly to establish sexual interest. 4. Boast about your sexual prowess and how many men you’ve had, so he knows you’re good in bed. 5. Bring him dead rabbits and stoats to establish that you can hunt for his offspring. IGNORE the males on this, they are lying to you, this is what works according to science

@RoKhanna I did not have a Buchanan-Khanna axis on my bingo card today, but here we are. P.S. Buchanan is an antisemite if one ever lived.

@EWErickson No matter how many times you make this claim, you never produce evidence. Where are the Democratic leaders who root for the mullahs and starve our troops? What are you even talking about?

@Jimfrombaseball Fun Fact: An accomplished individual in her own right, Rachel Isom Robinson has lived nearly 104 years.

"Jackie Robinson even taught me to bat lefty, though it never took. I loved him. He always had the cutest look around the side of his mouth, as if he were thinking about what he was about to say before he said it. I was very proud of Jackie Robinson and my knowing him was a very big deal." "Boys In the Trees" Carly Simon memoir. "My whole family was crazy about baseball. And whenever the Dodgers were on television and Jackie Robinson stepped up to the plate, my mother would lean over and kiss the TV screen good luck, so Jackie would get a hit. We were so into it, especially Carly, who was a true-blue Dodger fan." Peter Simon. While Jackie Robinson patrolled second base, his wife, Rachel, was combing the Connecticut suburbs for a family home. It was a painful search, derailed by racist brokers and neighbours who were afraid that selling to a black family, even to Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Robinson would cause lower property values, block busting, or worse. These troubles were chronicled in a local newspaper, attracting the attention of neighbouring ministers as well as Andrea Simon, a sharp-eyed, energetic community activist and the wife of publisher Richard Simon. Concerned citizens called a meeting at the Simon home. Almost immediately, a bond was struck between Rachel Robinson and Andrea Simon; later that afternoon, the pair went house-hunting together. The Robinson's stayed in the Simon family home while they waited for the completion of their own Stamford house. Andrea and Rachel were now close friends, sharing dinners and the company of their children — Peter, Carly, Joanna and Lucy Simon, and Jackie Jr., Sharon and David Robinson. Carly Simon.

@bluestein The seat will be an easy GOP hold. For the next few weeks, however, the Dem candidate has a chance to make his party's case to a large audience -- if he can do it.

Republicans avoided a dreaded runoff featuring controversial firebrand Colton Moore and instead rallied behind former prosecutor Clay Fuller, a more conventional GOP figure. But the results in MTG’s district suggest Republicans may have a broader problem. ajc.com/politics/2026/…

@elbyjay I think there will always be an audience and a donor base for opera. But in the last century it’s gone from culturally dominant to extremely niche. Maybe the AI-ification of everything will tempt people back into theaters 😏

It’s difficult to shock me. And yet I’ve been pretty shocked by the psychotic *global* response to Timothée Chalamet’s comment about opera & ballet, which was obviously completely right. I used to work at an opera company. Every sane person in the industry knows it’s toast. It bleeds money & is kept alive by a few rich donors—many of them very old—because people do not go. The Met is begging *Saudi Arabia* for money. It’s grim. Anyway, water is wet, the sun rises in the east, Whitney Houston sang the best national anthem of all time, opera is dying. Some things are not up for debate, and it is beyond silly that there is ongoing international furor that someone said a very benign fact. I need a lot of people to kindly get a grip.
