one thing i love about Elean: custom task statuses. per project. not just "To Do / In Progress / Done." "Waiting for client" / "In Review" / "Blocked" / "Deployed" whatever your workflow actually looks like. not what some PM decided it should look like.

Elean doesn't have a newsletter. we have a changelog. there's a difference. one is "here's content to keep you engaged." the other is "here's what we actually shipped." we picked the second one.

we built a task manager because we got tired of paying for ours. not because it was expensive. because we were paying per-seat for people who checked in once a week. → flat workspace pricing → seats as an optional add-on → kanban, subtasks, custom statuses, public API Elean. dropping soon.

Elean has no outside investors. that means: → no "growth at all costs" pressure → no features we don't believe in → no selling your data to hit a metric → we answer to users, not a board bootstrapped. staying that way.

building a SaaS: month 1: architecture, auth, database month 2: core features month 3: billing (this one hurts) month 4: "we need a public API" month 5: polishing things nobody asked for month 6: okay. let's ship it. we're at month 6. Elean launches soon.

we don't have a product manager. we don't have a designer on retainer. we don't have a growth team. we have two developers who got tired of their own project boards and built something better. that's Elean.
