The anti-AI neo-Luddites HAVE to make this claim to discredit us. This particular user has accused me of several times of not even MENTIONING Blender before this controversy (an OUTRIGHT LIE easily debunked by anyone who sees my social media history). In particular, all of the backgrounds for my LK videos were made in Blender by me. Here are four examples. Apparently, if you don't put your entire output in places where they can easily digest them, you didn't do it. But most of us are busy doing other things! @IsThisA3DModel, someone who ADMITTED that he doesn't even use Blender, is trying to impugn those of us who have used it for more than a DECADE just to push his agenda. Ditto for the others. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT BLENDER. They will sacrifice it on the altar of their neo-Luddism if it fits their agenda! Art is what THEY say it is, and anyone who does anything any way they don't like must be bullied into submission. They're gatekeepers, nothing more. Enjoy the clean LK backgrounds. (They're made to loop, just so you know.)

Anyone celebrating this needs to remember that Ton Roosendaal was not against AI. He announced the Blender Lab project in 2023 specifically to integrate, among other features, AI. "If Blender wants to stay relevant, we have to be ready for that... otherwise we might lose it and become obsolete".

Everything that's happening with the @Blender and its "community" right now teeters on the brink of good and evil. Have you ever looked at the Blender Foundation's annual reports and their expenses? Have you ever wondered why the Foundation asks for donations every year?

@LudensLudonauta Considering I have the UI of this program tattooed on my arm, yes I actually use it lmao. Blender makes millions a year from donations, this would have been less than 5% and that’s a favorable rounding for Anthropic.

I wonder if people who complained about Blender/Anthropic partnership actually support Blender. How can you be pissed off about a project that lives on donations get a quarter million recurrent anual donation to fund features that won't affect you whatsoever.
