This is so desperately sad. @vamelina was a shining light who communicated the reality of the barbarity of this war to audiences far from Ukraine. A lovely gentle soul who went from writing to documenting war crimes to hideously becoming the victim of one.

Prigozhin issues all his statements on social media through his Concord Group. So the press office of a catering company that supplies schools with porridge and pelmeni has just announced a coup d’etat against the world’s most heavily-armed nuclear power.
