The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Australia targeting a Jewish celebration. Antisemitism has no place in this world. Our prayers are with the victims of this horrific attack, the Jewish community, and the people of Australia.

The unarmed civilian hero who stopped the terrorist at the Chanukah party in Sydney and seized his rifle is Ahmed El Ahmad. Ahmed, 43, a father of two and a fruit shop owner, risked his life to save others. He was shot during the attack and is scheduled for surgery tonight. Without his courage, the number of casualties would have been far higher. We wish him a full and speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Incredible footage out of Australia, confirmed by NEWS AU, of a brave bystander neutralizing one of the terrorists in the Bondi Beach attack which took place during a Hanukkah gathering. Australian authorities say multiple people have been killed. At least two suspects are in custody.

Aggressive agitators were protesting Park East Side synagogue, chanting the word “Intifada.” The Second Intifada refers to a campaign of terror that left more than a thousand Israeli civilians and children dead. The deliberate invocation of “Intifada”—especially in a post–October 7 world—is an unmistakable incitement to violence against Jews. Critiquing the policies of a government is one thing. Targeting a Jewish institution simply for being Jewish is something else entirely. The targeting of a synagogue is not criticism; it’s extremism. It’s not demonstration; it’s discrimination.

A must listen on @ZohranKMamdani and his view that the state of Israel should not exist. He apparently does not support peaceful coexistence or a two state solution. This may make it challenging for him to govern a city with such a large Jewish population. My only question for @AmmiHirsch (and the other rabbis who met with Mamdani before the election) was why he did not warn his congregation and the electorate about his concerns about Mamdani until after he was elected.

WILD FOOTAGE FROM NYC 🔴 A visibly Jewish tourist from Jerusalem, 59-year-old Rami Glikstein, suffered a brain bleed after being attacked in Midtown Manhattan. Police say a man dressed in black knocked off his yarmulke, stomped on it, then punched him in the face near the kosher deli Mr. Broadway on West 38th Street. Glikstein was hospitalized at Mount Sinai with facial injuries and internal bleeding. Police are investigating the assault as a hate crime.

The reason Hamas knows they can withdraw from ceasefire talks, refuse any deal, and then publish a video of a starved hostage digging their own grave is they know the media will barely cover it and many others will simply refuse to hold them accountable for the consequences.
