Well... I was thinking about voting for @TomSteyer for CA, but then heard @RoKhanna endorsed him and now I won't touch him with a 10 ft pole...
Fucking socialists

@IroncladDev Same...
Have been using it for 2 days, and the squash workflow is so damn good
Literally removes the need for so much weird git bullshit
English

jj is so beautiful and intuitive
I will be saying goodbye to git soon

IroncladDev@IroncladDev
I finally took 30 minutes to learn about jj (git alternative on steroids). I'm still on the basics but I can tell you that this fits the definition of **great software** the way changes and commits work compared to git make a lot of sense and the CLI/TUI experience is awesome

Wait im sorry...
WHAT??
The military has an entry test to determine if you can do the difficult jobs. Why isnt this a thing for politicians... If you cant understand basic economics why are you allocating my tax dollars
Nina Turner@ninaturner
It’s a housing crisis. Who is responsible for setting market rates and building new homes? Hint: not Americans living paycheck to paycheck.

> be US senator
> Spend countless hours and millions on targeted hit on crypto
> make it impossible to build decentralized solutions in US
> complain about financial & infrastructure centralization
🤦♂️
bitch you spent years killing the most promising solutions to this problem

If a company can break the entire internet, they are too big. Period. It's time to break up Big Tech.

I had my laptop open on the kitchen counter running a build
The Mrs wanted to lookup a recipie, so I told her to switch to my browser workspace with Super+4, open Brave with Super+W, and then type in the search
Then she starts yelling at me that my keyboard is doing the wrong keys..... Oh yeah, press the G key to get D
Makes me feel great that my computer is about as unintuitive as it gets.... so much more fun.
Thanks @vaxryy @Axenide

@vaxryy Holy shit. Well.... my half-finished python + gtk pipewire controller is going in the pit of despair directory

@_winter_wonders "I love to pay $99 for my operating system and then be greeted with a welcome popup that takes 6 seconds to load and forces ads down my throat" - said nobody with taste

What for? Bonsai is built on Blender and is fantastic for architectural/BIM modeling.
For general parts and assembly modeling you will be stuck with OnShape in a browser, which is totally usable to be fair
Once you get super specialized it goes back to linux, stuff like earthquake modeling, ballistics modeling and other weird shit is OSS and on linux

@FFmpeg @GrassValleyLive Mother fuckers.
I live in Grass Valley. Who do I need to go yell at
English

Here's a great example from @GrassValleyLive. They proudly talk about their fast H.264 decoder (from FFmpeg) in Linkedin marketing yet violate FFmpeg's licence and ship FFmpeg as "nonfree and unredistributable"

FFmpeg@FFmpeg
Professionals don't use FFmpeg and FFprobe. They use extremely expensive software that runs FFmpeg inside (and that vendor contributes nothing back)
