It reminds us of His mercy, His compassion, and His desire to be close to every person. This devotion goes back to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a nun who received visions of Jesus in the 1600s. He asked that people and even nations be dedicated to His Heart, promising grace and help to those who trust in Him. This moment is not just for leaders. It is also an invitation for all of us. We are being called to turn back to God, to pray more, to go to Confession, to receive the Eucharist, and to trust Jesus in our daily lives.
