This brought back a wave of emotions for me and I’m certain any other leader who has had to be the notifying officer for someone killed in the line of duty. Agree or disagree w/ the war, the human toll of even one loss of life of any service member is indescribable. Words do not do justice and when the media lies, it only hurts the ones who are already hurting even more. God bless all our troops and NEVER FORGET the families who also suffer during some very difficult times. May their loved ones rest in peace with the Lord 🙏🏼🇺🇸 @realDonaldTrump @SecWar

They bury the Dad’s full quote at the end of the article. And they REALLY buried the lede. “Simmons recalled something his son had told him before volunteering for the mission that ended his life. “He said, ‘Dad, I can’t give you any details, but if civilians knew what we knew, a lot of the criticism [of the war] would cease,” he said. Simmons came away from Dover with a better impression of the war’s architects than he had when he arrived. Trump teared up and hugged him, evincing warmth and compassion at odds with the president’s public persona, Simmons said. He also credited Trump for looking him “straight in the eye.” “He extended his condolences father to father and conveyed how difficult it is to make decisions to put the children of other parents in peril,” Simmons said. As for Hegseth, “When I talked to him, I got the impression that he was torn because he seemed to be a very compassionate man, faced with difficult decisions as it pertains to war,” Simmons said. “I also let him know that Tyler was my only son. And you could see the emotion on his face. And I think those kinds of things you can’t fake,” he continued. “I was pleasantly surprised because the perception is they [Trump and Hegseth] don’t care, they’re going to do what they want to do,” he said. “I got to see a different side of them up close and personal.”

Tucker Carlson: “Let’s DNA-test Jews to prove they’re ‘real’ enough for the land!” Meanwhile, he ignores the glaring fact: Palestine was never a sovereign state. Not once. Ottoman dirt, British colonial paperwork, no country, no throne, no sovereignty. And get this, the whole “Palestinian” identity? Born in 1964 by an Egyptian fraud named Arafat. Before that? No history, no nation, just Muslim invaders who rolled in fourteen hundred years ago on Islam’s blade. Jews? Three thousand years of unbroken roots and lineage, rabbis, graves, scrolls, kingdoms, temples and every day prayer from exile: “Next Year in Jerusalem” Science might swab, but history doesn’t lie. Tucker must be blinded by hate and anger to take the side of lying invaders.

Last week’s Indo-Pacific Conference highlighted the sheer scale of the Indo-Pacific, China’s expanding military and infrastructure buildup, and Beijing’s use of economic pressure across Southeast Asia. In discussion about the Korean Peninsula, our experts focused on the dense concentration of forces near the DMZ and the risks posed by instability in North Korea, including the possibility of internal power struggles and broader regional consequences. @GenFlynn @eligold28 @WashTimes Read more here: washingtontimes.com/news/2025/dec/…

Lebanon in 2025 has reached a stage of structural collapse that now shapes how Washington, Riyadh, and other international actors evaluate the country’s strategic relevance. The decision by the Trump administration to cancel all scheduled meetings for Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander Rodolphe Haykal in Washington constitutes a pivotal indicator of this reassessment. This study examines the strategic implications of this diplomatic shift, contextualizes it within Lebanon’s internal security developments—including the arrest of Nouh Zeiter and the assassination of Hayssam “Abu Ali” Tbatabai—and analyzes how these events reinforce the perception of Lebanon as a state fully compromised by Hezbollah’s influence. @GoldInstituteIS @eligold28 @GenFlynn goldiis.org/lebanon-in-202…

Sir Stephen Watson, Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police: ‘I think it's some very important point to reflect upon that Jewish children are the only children in our country who, day to day, go to school behind large fences guarded by people with busy jackets, and where there are routine police patrols in and around those areas. Our Jewish communities put up with a way of life in our country today that nobody else has to put up with. I do think that there is something very significant in that, something very significant in the realisation of it, and we all, I think need to question ourselves afresh as the dynamic continues to change as to whether what we are doing continues to be adequate.’ 👇🏼

By demanding more of Seoul and, in turn, granting it greater agency, he helped catalyze the transformation of the U.S.–ROK alliance from a mentorship into a mutual enterprise, from reliance to alliance. open.substack.com/pub/elimgold/p…

The terrorist attack on the Khor Mor gas field once again proves that the @IraqiGovt is powerless against the militias. These attacks occurred just before the opening of the new @USCGERBIL and the visit of U.S. Deputy Secretary of State @DepSecStateMR, during which Iran-backed militia groups in Iraq targeted the largest gas field in the Kurdistan. This attack also follows recent comments by U.S. Special Envoy to Iraq @Mark_Savaya, who stated: “The United States stands with Iraq as it moves forward strong, independent, and free from foreign-backed militias.” If the United States truly seeks a strong and stable @Kurdistan , then now is the time to provide a comprehensive air and missile defense system to the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible. It is clear that these attacks target both Iraq’s economic infrastructure and all U.S. interests, because these attacks have a direct negative impact on global energy prices! It is time for the @realDonaldTrump administration to demonstrate that its policies toward Iraq are genuinely different from those of the Biden administration…
