I’m fully in favour of the 30 hours free childcare. It’s a good policy and it helps families return to work. But a teacher messaged me about something that really needs more awareness. For many teachers, when you return from maternity or parental leave and which term that

@ICT_MrP I am a nursery owner and this issue can effect everyone however it isn’t about your return date to work it about ensuring that you apply for the funding when your child is 9 month so in this instance the child would have been 9 months in feb therefore entitled from summer term.

@Ria1984 I think there has to be a balance they are still children and they do at times make the wrong choice even the best behaved children do occasionally so we must decide is this their conditions or is it them being a child and learning pushing the boundaries i always took this

Sorry I can’t ‘discipline my child at home’ they have an EHCP for ADHD, ASD*…. Why does having these diagnoses mean that a child can’t be disciplined? *insert several other letter based conditions. #SEND

So private jet travellers, private school parents, wealthy farmers, some businesses and Non-Doms are pissed off by this budget. I'm sorry they feel penalised But schools and hospitals are crumbling. We must all step

@peterjukes The nhs having a team for diversity really hospitals such be people are sick need to be treated and out. Too much money is wasted and im sure if someone owned the nhs it would run much better than now

@tcjon19 Oh please do you not understand the implications this budget is going to have every thing around you is going up and not by a little bit every business will substantially see an increase so this will be passed on companies may even start looking at reducing overheads ie staff

Labour are proposing changing car tax so they charge motorists 15p per mile instead of a fixed fee. I drive about 17,000 miles per year which means my car tax would cost £2,550 annually. It currently costs me £190. This is essential travel for work and to see my children.
