@StagecoachSW something is up with your timetable data. For example, next J service from the Newcourt area shows as tomorrow morning. C and H services don’t appear to exist. Also, your journey planner search isn’t recognising some road names (e.g. Sandy Park Way has no results)

@StagecoachSW Understand that, but during times of planned disruption or diversion, this information should be reflected digitally and on the bus stop with directions to the closest alternative. At least the ability to mark a stop as temporarily closed on the app would be a good start.

Is this official passenger information, @StagecoachSW? Which days? Where’s the nearest alternative stop? The closure isn’t reflected in the app or elsewhere online, where departures are showing as normal.

@StagecoachSW Doesn’t that negate the idea of “live” journey planning? It is possible to publish diversions/stop closures to online channels. It’s also not listed on your service updates, although other stop suspensions are. I just think this is a bit mediocre from a passenger’s point of view.

@elliotm_95 Good morning, The app is unable to be updated with temporary diversions. The notices on stops are provided by the Council and if there's no temporary stop put in place then you would need to board at the next stop listed on the route. -Rae

@British_Airways The plane is currently at Gatwick, though. Does this mean the delay is an operational decision? The outbound Porto flight has been delayed overnight to after the time BA2700 (the inbound for BA2701) was originally scheduled to depart Gatwick tomorrow morning.

Go into a pub in central London on a Saturday night just before 11pm. Told last order in 4 minutes. Pub closing up around us. What is wrong with this country? Where is the nighttime economy and general enjoyment?

Of course there are examples of this (and possibly better) in the UK, but why is this nowhere near the norm? What seems fantastical at home is just everyday life in most of Europe, and it works. We’ve got to catch up.

And, fingers crossed, also the end of fare stages at all sorts of prices in favour of time-based fares with unlimited changes — actual convenience! And, of course, tickets are for any public transport within the relevant region/city, not for 1 private operator.

The start of transport and tariff associations, à la Germany? Actual *networks* of integrated public transport and fares, run centrally and efficiently and marketed cohesively, in place of a myriad of competing operators who serve shareholders not the public? Yes, please! 🙏

With a Net Zero 2030 Plan in place and multiple car parks and Park & Ride facilities already supporting the city, the Council should be focusing on initiatives that prioritise community, reduce emissions, and enrich Exeter’s urban spaces.

An open green space here would not only add valuable leisure options, distinct from the surrounding retail and dining areas, but also serve as a vital asset in making Exeter a more sustainable and forward-thinking city.
